OP, if she loves the Marquis then approaching her is probably a good bet, but still deliciously uncertain. “It is always by way of pain one arrives at pleasure.” But if it is truly Marquez, then you could either go for it, or perhaps pick up a copy of “One Hundred Years of Solitude”
