Why the hell would you close down the ski hill on the ONLY day of the year it’s going to get anything close to good powder? I understand closing down some shops so your employees don’t have to travel, but the SKIL HILL? Come on, man up. —Stuck At The Bottom

Perhaps they stayed closed so as not to encourage brain-dead, self-absorbed morons to potentially endanger themselves and others by travelling in dodgy conditions.
And to add to Ivan’s on-the-ball point: PERHAPS they care about their employees because OH HAY the SKIL HILL doesn’t run itself, you know.
Downhill skiing looks to dangerous to me.I tried cross country skiing when I was younger,I enjoyed that.
I always wanted to learn to surf and rafting. These cost money though besides,I think Metro Transit might frown on me taking a surf board on a bus. Eh eh.
Stuck at the bottom eh? Try manning up yourself and hike that shit…. to the top.
they did that because most ski enthusiasts woul forge ahead at all costs on a bad roads just to make use of a day off work. in other words they made the sensible decision you wouldnt make.
OP probably thinks “someone” owes him for the petrol he burned getting there, the weed he smoked beforehand, and the grief counsellor who helped him to deal with his crushing disappointment.
Actually, people take surf boards on the bus all the time, boru! lolz. There have been bitches about it!
And I actually agree with Gary ^^
IF you really wanted to go skiing so badly, you would have hiked up that hill & did a run down … & who knows, you might have enjoyed it so much, you’d have climbed that F***er & did it again.
But you seem to have ignored completely the wants & desires of others . Like the hill operator/owner not to put people in harms way & to not require people
to risk dangerous driving conditions. Hopefully OB you will eventually come to the realization that the world doesn’t revolve around your unreasonable wants.
Or OB, just do what the average 8 year old would do on a snow day and go find your own hill somewhere. Then you can go skiing/ sliding all you want. Just remember to bring your helmet. Wouldn’t want to damage anything or be denied auto insurance.
Like people have said, you want to risk your own life, than please be my guest but DO NOT expect others to risk life and limb trying to get to work in a blizzard just so you can work on your S-turns.
If you’re talking about wentworth, maybe it had something to do with the avalanche warning (of all things) that I read about in the paper this morning?
one word…liability
one more word…

So I’ve just now realized what your avatar is, Ivan, and I must say, it’s pretty amazing.
Hay – I’m not saying SOBova found it for me…
but, SOBova found it for me. >; )
…and may I add, Your Eminence, that you’re looking pretty sharp today, yourself.
Dude, how could they? It was like.. gnarly or something that day wasn’t it?
The same fucking reason why they close stores so nobody has to kill themselves or others on shit roads.
Haha why thank you, Colonel.
