I couldn’t believe it. Four weeks after my son ordered a DVD for me from the store called to say that it finally came–only to find out they’d sent the wrong one. A second request, and a week later it still hadn’t arrived. When I called the store to ask when it was due to arrive, I was told that they didn’t know. These things take time, don’t you know… There was no master list to check to know where it was coming from or when it would arrive. Could I pay to have it fedexed? No, that wasn’t possible. Really crappy service. The next day the manager called, upset because I had told the clerk that I was going to bitch to “The Coast”.
Bottom line… if you want to wait weeks for crappy service, this store is just great. But if you want something to arrive in less than a month, look elsewhere.

For such things like DVDs, I find Amazon.ca incredible. You get what you want and they ship real quick.
Wanna give us some hints on which store this was? 😉
someone has stolen my identity…and capitalized it…the scoundrel.
ps. john(name stealer) if you were so inclined there is always the downloading option. i mean if you wanted to be a criminal.

Careful to those who download… As of Feb 1, certain CRTC regs came into effect that make ISPs report download sizes over a specific file size (5GB I believe for both providers in the Halifax market). Just a cautionary note…
unless you’re downloading HD, 5GB is nothing to worry about.
If you’d rather not go that route, there’s always live streaming feeds for tv channels.
Who “buys” DVD’s anymore? (other than blank ones)
Dr. Fever is that per file or total download for the month?
That part is completely ambiguous. They don’t want to tell us right? If it’s a monthly thing, obviously even torrents are out of the question. But if it’s file size per download, torrents avoid that (small packages of data ~150 KB). As, zzz states, there’s always streaming TV (provided you computer is decent enough) on most of CTV’s sites. Don’t do Global’s though. Poop doesn’t begin to describe that site.
yeah, I was talking about
