To the aging hipster who repeatedly told people they couldn’t stand in front of him at concert:

You’re in a bar that is packed to capacity to see a rock show, people aren’t going there to sit quietly. You look to be at least 6 feet tall and could have towered over most of the people you told to move if you just got off your ass.

Exactly how far in front of you did you expect people to leave free? You were 20 feet from the stage, did you expect the sea of people to part so you (and you alone) could view the show? —You Gotta Make a Stand

  1. clearly not familiar with the bar scene….
I’m a sitter as well… but I certainly don’t expect everyone to be.

    what was the concert?
    decent?

  2. I would blame this on the organizers, if they are going to sell seats on the floor, then they better make damn certain that the punks that bought nose bleed tickets aren’t down on the floor fucking up the view.

  3. I’m guessing it was The Sheepdogs – only bar show in Halifax that would have been packed to capacity.

Has nothing to do with the organizing – seats aren’t sold, you just get there and sit or stand wherever. If you choose to sit you pretty much have to put up with people standing in front of you.

OP should have made the guy feel really uncomfortable and stood 3 inches away but facing him – not the stage 🙂

  4. reason 518 why the same poeple that post shouldn’t….cause you don’t know what the f**k are talking about!
OP I would have stood infront of him!

  5. It was the Sheepdogs – I am the OP. I actually stood there for a while after he asked me to move but ended up moving to a better spot, off to the side of the stage next to the guitarist and drummer – had a nice little interaction with the band between songs instead of the douchebag in the audience.

Seriously – who tells people they can’t stand in front of him at a bar – there are only about 10 tables in the whole place, people will be standing

  6. “aging hipster…lol. Let me guess, no more room for Occupy protesters elsewhere?”

Well if that isn’t the Jack calling the Will ‘fag’.

  7. @youboreme – no worries, I knew you weren’t talking about me. My post was really just to clarify where it was for people that thought that this guy paid for a certain seat and that maybe I had no right to be standing there

  8. a concert, in a bar, fuck, how big a place was it. i thought only smal bands played bars. group must have been pretty lame, to be in bar. hell, even elton john, had a packed house, and he wasn’t in a bar. give us the name of place, so we can go see this concert hall bar.
