This is for all of the people who keep their purse or other belongings on the seat next to them on the bus when a lone passenger is searching aimlessly for an empty seat. MOVE IT! It is ignorant and if they don’t speak up and tell you I will!

I hear that! Especially those huge knapsacks…I say charge by the pound…for people too.
I’m so glad I’m a big guy. When I occassionally took the bus when I lived in the city, I have come across this behavior. I always pause give them a second to realise I’m about to sit down & then I do so…move it or watch it flatten. For some reason not only did it always get moved, they usually did as well 🙂
If you have the balls to simply make a motion to sit next to them, i find 99% of these asshats will move their bags.
I just look at the bag and the person sitting next to it. If they don’t move, I do. Should the other person have a problem with me moving their bag they can talk to my elbow.
if the person is a prick and says something like, “Uh, my bag was there,” you can just look at them sardonically, smile and say, “Well, now its on the floor.”
“Well now it’s on the floor” Bahaha!
My friend put her purse on the seat next to her on the bus the other day, a fat lady sat on it. I laughed. Coolest fat lady ever.

Beware all those who dare put their belongings on the seat next to them. She could be anywhere. She’s big, she knows it, and she’ll knowingly sit on your shit. I should have shook her hand.

why don’t you just ask them to move it? i usually have a bag on the bus and even when i pick it up as people are walking by, nobody ends up sitting down. so after 5 times moving it, i just leave it there. use your words and be polite.
mortparn I am like you….if folks get on the bus I lift bags if they walk by.. bags resume sitting until next time….. we have mouths …….. use them….. politely…..we know we pay for 1 seat..
