Simple solution
The solution to all this teen violence is so incredibly, utterly simple and yet no one is willing to do it. Get together and take back your neighborhood. All it’s going to take is several groups of maybe 15 – 20 adults – with clubs, bats, whatever they

Buddy, if you ever take a bat to my law abiding, well brought up, job-holding teenager who happens to be out after dark, you are going to have ME to deal with. And I promise you, that is NOT going to be a pleasant experience. Not all kids who are out after dark are up to no good. Your attitude reeks of the worst kind of vigilantism, and you’ll find out just how “socially unacceptable” it is if you start acting on it.
Coyote I agree totally. Not afraid…. you better be afraid. Don’t even try to get your vigilante “old west” ass near my kid who happens to work at night and walks home with a group of kids. The biggest problem with Halifax is OLD FUX like you are the majority of the population. I hope that squeegy kid smells your attitude and beats the living shit out of you.
I am a teenager and am out till two many nights and ofter with a group of people. You are obviuosly one the the dumb old farts who TEACH this to the kids. Violence doesn’t solve violence. I personally think its appalling what happened to the senor up at the commons and I hope they lock the kids away for a while.
95% of teens are good kids – those violent psychos out there preying on innocent victims are in a definite minority so your so-called solution would paint all teens with the same brush, including my kid who has as much right to walk this city at night as you. Grow up, asswipe, more violence won’t cure this problem. What needs to be done is some serious tweaking to the Young Offenders Act and some ankle bracelets for those little bastards who won’t abide by a curfew. A little GPS on their sorry asses would be a much more effective deterent.
right on!!!!
It’s hard to judge who’s a bad kid and who’s not. But the problem is that those that are bad – fall into that stereotype so they can fit in. Or because they have nothing else better to do.The kids definetly need to be taught a lesson – not through beating them to a pulp – but show them what jail is REALLY like…none of this “Write an essay and we’ll let you off with a few hours of community service.”Life’s not like that – they not to be brought to reality.
**Should be “They got to be brought to reality.”
