Hey jerk with the orange car. You park on Kaye St. You always block the sidewalk even though the rest of your driveway is empty. Why can’t you pull ahead 10 feet when parking in your driveway? Are you trying to conserve gas you asshat? I’m tired of trying to squeeze between the snowbanks and your stupid orange car as I walk home. Do the rest of us a favour and stop blocking the effing sidewalk!

  1. you should call the cops and get the fucker ticketed.

I mean it can’t be legal to park like that.

  2. I hate the bastards who park outside a chip shop on the corner of Chebucto and Connelly. They park in the designated area, and then the others park on the side of the street, at/on the kerb/snowbank, all the way to the intersection, thus forcing me, the pedestrian, to walk on the road or walk a block down to get on the sidewalk to get back to where I would have been.

They see me coming then look away as if to say “I know this is wrong, but it’s cold, and I’m too much of a dick”.

  3. For the information of everyone out there who encounters asshole idiots like this that park on the sidewalk, firelane etc. If you’re ilegally parked in one of these areas, your insurance is automatically void. So if some sort of damage were incurred to the vehicle, say a broken window, slashed tire or scratched paint, the insurance company won’t cover it. It will be an out of pocket expense for the asshole driver. I’m not encouraging any to break stuff, just providing some info.

  4. It would be a shame if the white lines indicating the sidewalk suddenly jumped up from under the car and landed on the hood. *cough… *SPRAY PAINT.. *ahem.. * cough *cough

  5. Never Wrong, how could the company prove they were parked illegally if they move the car before reporting it?

  6. Mole Rat:
It depends on the insurance company and the level of damage incurred. If it’s under $500 (say a scratch in the paint) it’s usually not worth reporting as that’s the amount of the average deductable. But if the damages are over $500 (say all the windows smashed) most insurance companies will send out an agent to look at it. If it’s obvious the vehicle has been moved from it’s original location (except in the cases of collisions, where the agent will inspect the scene) some companies will refuse to make any payouts, due to a lack of evidence that it occurred when/where the person claims.

  7. The key and the spray can are your best friends in this situation. As for being forced on to the street by chip shop patrons, let them look away in a dickish manner…… as you call parking enforcement with a complaint on your cell phone. Look the number up and add it to address book for future reference. If pedestrians are being forced onto the street you’d be suprised how fast they send a ticket officer over.
