I have been sick for almost a month now! I literally woke up Christmas morning with this cold/flu/fever/whatever and I haven’t been able to totally get rid of it.
I’d get a lil better, then worse, get a lil better,
then worse, and so on. I went to the doctor, and was told it’s not H1N1, to jus rest and it’d go away… But when?!
I’m finally healthy enough to work full hours, be social, and not give this hell sickness to anyone else, but I still have a stubborn cough… GAH!!!

have you tried applying vapo-rub on the chest?
can I watch?
Yes…
and you’re too late :p
I recommend zZz’s suggestion, and request a viewing of this vap-o-rubbing as well. Might cause me to do a bit of rubbing myself… hehehe.
Think we’re bad? Be thankful LIFE SUCKS hasn’t found this post yet! Sorry buddy, I already asked. She’s taken.
Ohh yeah, colds suck. I’ve had a stuffed up nose for pretty much my whole life that won’t ever go away completely!
yeah, i hear ya, being sick is a real bitch. moreso if you are used to being up and around. rest easy mind snap, you can still type on your keyboard, and that’s all that matters to us here, peace and love and all that shit.
Thanks guys…
And the vapo-rub thing didn’t help… I just soaked in the bath
“I just soaked in the bath”
And then what? Tell us more!
Ha ha, just kidding. Believe it or not I’m not that much of a perv. Nonetheless feel free to tell us more, if you want.
I went back into a coma
(You really should jus stick to your imagination…)
you’re probably gonna die ! can i have your stuff?:)
Have you ever considered that it could be allergies? People can develop new allergies over their lives. This happened to me…I thought I was sick for like 2 months..turns out just to be allergies. Also, you may have poor air quality at work or home or something. The air at my work is absolutely awful and I’m sneezing all day, and the guy next to me coughs something awful, only at work.
Melectric: I really hope I don’t have allergies, because that means it’s either caused by smoking, caffeiene, or my cats. All of which I’m exposed to daily
Martym: “My stuff” mainly consists of my credit card debt, but I don’t have to die for you to have that you can take it now 😀
Do you have bronchitis, Mind Snap?
Nope, and I don’t have asthma either
what’s your limit? and get well soon love martym:)
I’ve been fighting a similar virus for the past month as well. I’ve made the Buckley’s financial year I think. All I know is that I love pseudoephedrine.
I’m a NyQuil/DayQuil chick… Chase it with some NeoCitran, and I’d be feeling a lil better; and by “better” I mean “stoned”
I had a sore throat the other day (Sunday) so I went to the pharmacy to look at some throat spray/gargle stuff, & they have alcohol in some of them.
So I went home & gargled with Black Sambucca. 1 Ounce shots & every time you gargle for about 10 seconds, you stop & swallow just a bit…do it 3 times for each shot.
Because of the sweet licorice taste I had a beer between each gargle session.
After the 6th session, I didn’t have a sore throat at all.
First of all, some people on here need to get laid… soon…
But as for feeling fluish for a long period, I drink a neo citran while in or just before a 20 min sauna… Always seems to do the trick after 1 or 2 times…
20 yr old scotch…single malt (: don’t take any of that other shite ^^ plus that sauna stuff
I like your style paingirl, lol… Blue label will cure whatever ails ya!
when all else fails, go the chicken soup route. or chicken powered boullion.believe it or not, it actually work. old jewish mothers knew. and as to allergies, yes they can do it, when at purdys wharf a few years ago, half the people used to get sick every other week, me included. found out the filters needed changing more ofter, than every 6 months. e.p.a. did tests, and they told then o and y, that they had to change them more often. like once every few weeks at the most.
I’m with LS here . Sick buildings can cause cold/flu like symptoms .So can mold ( i sometimes work in the remediation field with mold ) Carpet and paint VOC’s (volatile offset chemicals ) can be another culprit .And if you are in this environment with a cold ( repressed immune system) this can amplify other symptoms . Otherwise mind snap , maybe you got one them nasty ass bugs that just don’t leave . But ( if your in an office building ) i suspect maybe the previously mentioned by me and LS.
I was sick last week and took nyquil for three nights and frig I couldn’t sleep for two nights after I stopped taking it 🙁
I hope you feel better soon, MS!
Haha weed !! The natural medicine !! Smoke one and you forget your sick and can sleep great !!!
Ya, I almost lit up a joint for the first time in like 3 years because when I was sick a few years ago a toke cleared me right up….
Sadly thought, I no longer hook up with MaryJane (she makes me cranky), I don’t like chicken soup, and even though I do work in an office building I was in the middle of a 2 week vacation when I got sick…
I jus keep drinking rum (booze is a disinfectent [sp?] of sort!) and taking cough pills… But as mentioned in the OP; I just have a stubborn cough and the occasional hacking fits which still drive me insane at 5:00AM or in the middle of work, or when I’m jus waking up, ect.
On another note:
Even though I don’t get along, or agree with everyone on LTWWB, I am grateful for your ‘get well’ wishes. As mentioned I’m painfully close to full health, but you’re advice, and horny humour (zZz, q, ect) gave me a laugh, and made me feel like I belong in these here parts
ALL YOU GUYS FUCKIN ROCK!!!
tee hee
your pic helps bring out a certain side of us.
keep up with the booze… it’s a miracle drug.
It HAS to be at the prices they charge for it.
Yawn, yeah excuses. You’re sick, but not sick enough to keep your ass in bed instead of on the interest posting. You’re not sick. You’re lazy. get back to work.
Sebastian… For once try reading the WHOLE fucking post!
The last sentence states “I’m finally healthy enough to work full hours, be social, and not give this hell sickness to anyone else, but I still have a stubborn cough…”
