Would it be too much to ask for simple run times eg: Feb whatever until March whatever? It would facilitate driving from another area feasible!!

Are we talking movie times or what?
If you’re talking about movie times, we get them on a week-to-week basis. We don’t know when movies will end or begin. It’s unfortunately the way that everything runs with Empire Theatres. If you want to take it up with them, their website is empiretheatres.com.
If you’re talking about other listings (art shows, events, stage, etc) if it’s an ongoing show we will list the start/end dates as they have been provided.
Pretty sad that the entertainment offerings are so slim out in the sticks that they have to come to Halifax to see the lame-o movies being shown here.
Before we got an Empire location in New Minas, it was pretty standard to have to wait at least a month after the movie released in Halifax to have it shown in the Valley.
They’d be showing movies up until the day before it’s release date on VHS. Heh.
When my wife and I took a stroll to the flickers at the Paramount, we’d often have to wait months until the next Chaplin or Errol Flynn to come in from the movie houses in Bangor. But we saved our nickels. There was rarely a new movie to toss them at.
Would it be too much to ask for random exasperated questions to be a little more specific?
