Men are still paid more to do the same work as women in this country. This is a valid bitch although I’m not sure some kind of governmental pay out to women is in order; in fact, I’d protest that. Instead, the government should work harder to promote wage equality.
Compensation ! Wow, another person looking for a hand-out. With, perhaps, one of the lamest reasons I even saw. Because of their gender. Laughable. Ha…Any woman being oppressed has put her self into that position and for some twisted/self destructive reason has not removed themselves from the situation. Some sort masochistic behavior. Do something positive. It’s your life, take it back.
Hey I’m a natural blonde, which means technically I’m an endangered species (in about 200 years or so apparently) so where’s my conservation compensation eh? Funny bitch, haha and it does allude to the wage equality issue that kay mentioned. It’s still true that men make more than women, but it’s shifting, slowly and surely. I work in furniture sales, and response to sales techniques is turning away from the traditional male salesperson and now seems to be favouring female salespeople. Not really equal, but things seem to need to hit both extremes before it can even out to the happy medium.

I’ve worked in a (dominantly male) technical field for the past 15 years and have NEVER achieved wage equality with my male cohorts of the same education and the same levels of expertise. Apparently my mother didn’t have an iota of chance to earn what I earn today so, agreed, there’s improvement but we’ve got about 15% to go and that’s a lot when you dock it from the male manager’s pay.To be clear, I don’t agree there should be any kind of gov’t payout for women who whine as loud as me, just better plans to make equality a fact rather than an in-the-not-so-distant-future and nice ideal
