Yes, I realize it’s canada day soon. this does NOT mean you get to set off fireworks now! Most fireworks displays are organized and safe; and most people who buy their own for private use have the common sense to set them off in a field or over water or at least in a backyard. NOT on the little patches of grass next to the sidewalk on tightly packed residential streets, with lots of overhanging trees and houses. I bet your squeels of childlike delight won’t be so gleefull when you set yourself or something else on fire, idiot.

Has a place for that roman candle…

  1. well, you are suggesting something that could easily be illegal. to set off fireworks in a field.in HRM, the fireworks regulations work the following way:- you have to have the permission of the land owner to set off fireworks (HRM does not give those out to private individuals, so for example, if you see fireworks on the commons, they are illegal)- you have to be 200 feet from a dwellingother than that, it is upto you where/how you use your fireworks.so if OP would go off into one of those ‘fields’ and set off fireworks without asking the permission of the land owner, its illegal.oh, and unlike Ontario, you can set off fireworks in Nova Scotia any day of the year. not just on Canada Day.
