I really don’t think this sounds like a case of sexism. Unless you can elaborate on it, it sounds to me like you would have been fine if it were men laughing at this other unfortunate man. What colour was the skin of those involved? maybe there was also an element of racism. Or maybe they are more wealthy than said man and it was a case of financialism. Oh yeah, I guess it could have been ageism. Maybe this man is gay and they are homophobes or vice versa and they are heterophobes. Or it could be his religion they don’t like. maybe that he is heavy set and they like to discriminate against larger people (fatism).

One of my biggest pet peeves is when some of my lady friends won’t let their hard working guys so much as watch a movie with jlo or jolie in it, but they are allowed to go out on “girls night” and hit on every waiter that has a dick because it’s “cute” and “harmless” when girls do it. May just be me, but I think respect should go both ways.
