….yeah the Timmy addicts are quite laughable….rember how they were snarling up traffic just to get to one of the few open Tim Horton’s (Sackville???) during hurricane Jaun??? It’s a jones worse than crack….and yes Virginia classism does exist….they don’t call ’em wage slaves for nothing….

I also work at tim’s, and let me just add…Just because I make your medium double double does NOT, and i repeat – does NOT mean that you can look at me like I am the side dish to your coffee. I am NOT breakfast, lunch, or supper, and I am definitly not interested in anything else with you EVER. I agree with you completly about the egotistical arseholes though….I know they won’t miss me until after i’m gone….when the coffee they got exactly how they wanted for the last two years is effed up every single day.
I too work a low wage, customer service job. It’s taught me alot about people, none of thier boorish behaviour surprises me anymore. I’ve also had money thrown at me, people who talk on thier cell phone through out our entire interaction, people who look right through me and ignore me when I say hello to them. Some of my co-workers have been sexually harassed and even threatened by customers. People generally treat me with the same disdain they usually reserve for dog shit on thier shoe. For fuck’s sake people, my job is not a disease you will catch if you lower yourself to acknowlege me in even the smallest of ways.
Please don’t assume all office workers are like that. I’m certainly not. As long as I’m treated well, I’ll do the same to others. That includes the people providing my coffee, lunch, whatever.
I agree with you on you bitch, but what about the people like me, who always smile, say “Good Morning” and leave a tip, even when the person serving me barely acknowledges my presence. The respect should go both ways, and often it does not.
Well then you are one in a million cause honestly every Tim’s that I go to….I’M the one who gets treated like shit! NO SMILE, NO EYE CONTACT, NOT EVEN A “THANK-YOU”!! Yet I’m the one who walks up to the counter and smiles, makes eye contact and is polite in every way. If you hate your job that much then quit and find a new one…and don’t give me that shit that “there’s nothing else out there”, because there is, I read the paper every day and if you can get off your lazy ass to go to that shit hole then you can certainly find the time to hand out resumes!
The real reason why you probably are snubbed is because you probably arn’t hawt…
it is sad that so many people get so offended by strangers not looking them in the eye or smiling, etc., your craving for attention is leading to your suffering, get over it, evolve
