What happened to the service in stores around here anyway?
I went to a drugstore, spent 30 seconds picking out my item, 5 minutes in line waiting to pay for (while 4 out of 6 cash registers are unmanned, and two employees are wandering around the store straightening shelves)..
I go to a deli, spend a minute picking out my items, and 10 minutes in a long line waiting to pay (while the other cash register goes unnmanner).
That’s 15 minutes of my lunch break shot to hell.
Yes, I complained. Loudly. In both places. What good does it do?

The same is true of Future Shop except it is exponentially worse. I waited in a line up there for 45 minutes one day and watched as at least a dozen other “employees” just stood around. I mean come on, you can’t get one more person working cash. It’s ridiculous.
Fuck, it is the same everywhere. What is up with that? Long, slow line-ups with lots of closed cash registers. What a Piss-off. Managers at these stores are Stupid as Tom Cunt’s dog, he died with his ass in the brook trying to get a drink of water.
Remember Wal-Mart’s promise when they took over Woolco stores? “We’ll open another register when a lineup has more than x number of people”. I think the number was 10 customers or even lower. They don’t open open extra registers anymore even if there are twenty customers in a lineup. The managers get shit on by head office for spending on hourly employees so they try to make it look good by not putting extra people on the registers. Its not only at the registers either as I was at the Champlain Place store last week and the tired girl in men’s wear was also looking after jewelry, luggage and women’s wear. She said the store refused to bring in staff to help. Can you imagine trying to look after 4 departments, one even has its own register and expects the employee to take time to show rings and watches which are kept locked away and two others have changing rooms which she has to keep an eye on. Very sad managing of employees by the higher-ups.
as long as consumers are willing to shop at stores with substandard service they will not change. take a hardstance grow a set of balls(willpower) and never return to the store…
