Ok, enough already with trying to dodge the deathtrap on Lakelands Blvd. in Bayers Lake… you all know what I’m talking about… that “intersection” at Tim Horton’s/Wendy’s/Canadiana on one side and Starbucks/Halifax Chrysler-Dodge on the other. Four, or is it five lanes total and STILL no lights even yet? Are you fucking kidding me? Wait ’til someone’s killed there FIRST, I suppose… THEN, act all shocked and horrified and say, too little too late, how “there should have been lights there a long time ago,” and, “always KNEW this would happen!” Just do it already. Yeah, it’ll be a big pain in the ass (OMG, gotta wait another 30 seconds, oh, the horror, the inJUSTICE!) but if it prevents accidents, so what? We all already know that with the way things are you can’t count on other drivers to be safe and/or sensible… oh and by the way, a sidenote to all the would-be “good samaritans” driving around there- don’t just let other drivers go there unless you know 100% for sure that everyone else knows what you’re doing! SO unsafe! Use your heads and wake up! —Not a Perfect Driver Either But At Least I’m Patient

I agree 100% with this. I’d also like to see another exit from the park onto the Bay road, my suggestion would be when you come to that half arsed intersection with the recycling place on one corner, Sears on the other – there is a sort of road, but it just ends.
I agree 100000% with this. I’d also like to see a runway right in the middle of the loop so I can fly there in my private jet from Fairview….
and there should be tunnels in addition to the 3rd entrance, along with bridges over intersections and a tube shuttle system to get around…
and hover boards for rent…
and….
fat chance
now i know the spot you mean op. i ended up there when i was lost, i’m like “what the hell is this clusterfuck of a thing”
They won’t put them there because they’re too close to the highway intersection with those lights.
Or something.
And also: they designed that stretch of road before it actually had any traffic. The only thing out there was the Volvo plant. It used to be the super easy way to get to BLIP, but now not so much with the new development up there.
Get to the intersection earlier, or learn the shortcuts.
At least there are two coffee choices on that strip of road now…my choice of coffee house depends on the traffic….easier one to get out of wins….. of the freedom of choice!
Sorry if I sound snarcastic….yeah I made that word up….snarcastic….
I hate it when people make up words. I think it is redonkulous.
I’m not even sure where this is. I don’t think I’ve ever been to that part of Bayer’s Lake.
On another traffic issue – I’d love to see 2 4 way stops in the south end removed and replaced with lights. The one at the bottom of south park to Young Ave, and that fucker on Barrington near the Henry House.
that’s cause it’s the ‘back door’ brend.
you’re better off staying away from the ‘back door’.
it’s ugly.
i plugged canadiana rest in to google and it’s not the same spot i was thinking of. that means there’s something worse out there http://urdustar.com/home/attachments/beaut…
I agree Pork Pie, same with Queen and Morris. I have to use those crosswalks several times a day and I feel so terrible doing so because of the cars that just sit there forever because of all of the pedestrians, especially in rush hour.
South park/Inglis/young ave is like that too, Mel. 🙁
I always feel bad for the busses because a) the cars always cut them off there and b) there’s always heavy ped traffic.
i am very pleased to see an avatar change, missy
