To all those self-entitled jerks that feel they are so special they can ignore the law and park right in front of the HarbourView apartments after 4pm (during rush hour) and hold up an entire lane of traffic on Portland Street so as to avoid your precious car: Screw you. You couldn’t be bothered to park around the corner and walk? Why should you expect people to miss bus connections or arrive late to pick up their children because you couldn’t shuffle your lazy butt a few hundred meters? This causes massive traffic tie ups every time it happens, which is almost daily. —Sick of Self-Entitled Jerks

Just go around keying those cars. Surprisingly it works :). I have never seen a car park near my apartment ever since someone started keying their precious Lexus.
Call 311 – they handle complaints regarding illegally parked vehicles.
I get the same thing going down Hollis after work on the way to SMU. People think its OK to stop with their 4-ways on when there are “no stop” signs every 10 ft. When they 1st changed the street to be like that I’d see a car getting towed once a week at least. It has got better over time for sure.
If the City grew some balls and employed a few tow trucks…
Sounds like they have a North Preston Parking Pass. The one that also “entitles” you to park in front of the Grocery Store entrances in Cole Harbour. Nice! Classy lol
^^^^Cops do nothing for fear of being labelled racists.
I agree
The problem with inconsiderate people is: theres no cure.
It never occurs to them that there are other people that are trying to make their way in the world.
If you point out their inconsiderateness, you get blank stares or hostility. You can fine, punish etc. and that might help with a specific instance, but it wont cure the problem. And that is because it never occurs to them in the first place they are standing where people need to pass, or the buffet is backed up, etc. And since it never occurs to them, there is no way to create this perception that most of us have. It’s like asking a dog or a doorknob to be more considerate. Doesn’t compute. And I dont think it’s a lack of empathy. It’s a lack in perception. They just go about being the center of their universe…
I just found a candy in my desk!
And if more tickets were handed out there would be more bitches about that.
