Seeing is Not Believing
You can’t trust any image these days. So much of what you see these days is another masterpiece of photoshopped, airbrushed bullshit – nothing is genuine anymore. Celebrity photos are so bogus in most cases, you wonder if you’d even recognize the real

Photoshop can help you recover badly blown images or ones that were slightly underexposed. However, people should not believe what they see in any magazine. Those have been professionally worked on by teams of graphic artists and such. People aren’t that tall/thin/big. Their teeth aren’t that white. Their skin isn’t that perfect. Most pics you see are composites that aren’t even real. Take it all with a grain of salt. Btw, most of those celebs, if you’ve seen them in person have bad complexion, tonnes of makeup and look just like the worst of us. It’s just the hype and pomp that hollywood and the media puts into them that gets people all worked up.
That’s why I love HD television – ya can’t hide a thing. Watch botox stocks rise rapidly in the next couple of years.
Photoshop can be art too. Why is technology always considered a negative thing when it comes to creativity?
We take part in a photo website called fotki.com and they recently ran a photoshop contest which was interesting. Gives a bit of insight into how a photo (or photos) can be manipulated (amateur level). Of course photoshop is not the only image editing program. We use GIMP which is LINUX’s Graphic Image Manipulation program. Equal to PS, but free. Check it out.
