You yelled at one of our 18 year old female employees until she was almost in tears because we were out of stock of the two things you wanted. What kind of asshole does that? When I told you to get the fuck out of our store, you called me every disgusting name in the book. I hope karma rams it up your ass, because the only thing stopping me doing it myself was the threat of an assault charge. —Ready to Punch an Asshole

  1. Someone will eventually put him in his place, or he’ll have a massive rage induced heart attack.

He wasn’t mad at her, he just hates his life.

  2. I’m glad you stood up for your employee. There’s nothing I hate more than when some dick customer yells at an employee and then the managers are sooo eager to give them free shit and blowjobs and whatever.

  3. Is this an independently owned business, OP? I have a hard time picturing this level of employee support in a chain or a franchise. Good for you.

  4. “free shit and blowjobs and whatever”

Umm…what store is this exactly, Mel? 😉

In all seriousness, though, I totally agree. Kudos to you for backing up your employee. As shitty as she was probably made to feel by this dickless waste of fresh air, your actions in her defence, would have undoubtedly helped immensely in shoring up her emotions. And like TJ said, he’ll get his, either by someone else or fate.

  5. Yeah, that too, props for not licking his ass and rewarding his childish behavior. I always try to direct my anger at the company and not the front line employee.

  6. christmas DAY 2010 a man did this at the mcdonalds near penhorn. Same result.

    Probably the same dumbass..

  7. do you know the person that mouthed off? if so, call the cops, i’m sure they can be charged witha form of harassment or something along that line. i wish the fuck that i would have been there, i would’ve smashed the fuck out of their face.

  8. PPA the asshole. There are just some customers a business doesn’t need. And kudos on backing your employee.

  9. OB , very nicely done.
not sinking to his level is why I said “very” nicely done….if you’d have given him a smack , & in your bitch it reads like he deserved it.

That’s just what a lot of these losers are looking for & by not giving it to him you probably pissed him off even more.
Also if you had of hit the asshole, then the verbal assault has escalated to physical asault & that’ would have been seen as your fault !

  10. Independent vs National Chain makes no difference, I’ve seen douches manage both.

Props to you for kicking ass!

  11. Well played OP! Assertive but not overly aggressive, that’s hard to do.

I’d like to see Jerry but, alas, funds are tight.

  12. haha, it’s the other way around critter guy. i don’t get paid to cook anymore

  13. It’s to your honor and credit that you got rid of the asshole customer and backed your employee instead of the other way around (which happens too often, unfortunately). Get a security camera with a mike in there and save those scenes of customer stupidity for future entertainment.

  14. Always a good idea to have a club or hammer under the counter. When the customer starts yelling they are techincally a threat to you, your staff, and other customers and should be removed from the premises.

  15. I cried once at work. A co-worker (whom I love) came up to me, asked if I needed a minute, and when I came back she said “don’t you ever do that again, don’t give them that kind of power”. People are usually misplacing their anger and the front line staff have to take it. It is (sadly) what it is.

  16. It’s a shame that a number of people only value their own self-worth by how much they can hurt/control others. More often than not, the kind of customer who would make an employee break down to tears falls right into this category. They might also just be assholes, trolls or sociopaths.

I am ever so thankful that I never had to work retail. Given the choice, I’d do (and did) janitorial work instead of dealing with the public. I don’t know how you guys handle it without leaving fist-shaped dents in customers faces.
