  1. Schools have this program that blocks certain websites like obviously Facebook and YouTube…but a lot of the time it blocks out completely ligitimate sites too for some reason. When I was in school, I remember trying to get on a popular Shakespeare site and it blocked it because it was classified as “Shopping”. And it still doesn’t block everything ‘bad’; like some people like the type in “porn” into Google images on someone else’s account and leave the page open. Despite this filter you can still see some pretty horrible things :P. I think it’s stupid because anyone who spends their school time on Facebook isn’t really hurting anyone but themselves.

PS: I didn’t write this bitch.

  2. some companies do the same thing…
this is another one of those ‘life lessons’ you’re supposed to be learning whilst at school.
life’s shit and it’s never fair.
    Deal with it.

  3. Oh fuck no – it’s a real site. I swear I was just making it up. Maude please delete my previous post. >: (

  4. >: ( I’ve already reported the comment. I just wish they had a line for: Bad taste and worse judgement.
So sorry folks – never ascribe to malice that which is most easily explained by stupidity.

  5. Well, OP, if the school blocks are hampering your research efforts for your school work, complain to your teacher for that particular class…because as far as I know, my tax dollars used to fund that internet connection should be for academic-related purposes only.

I don’t pay out the ass so you can check your google mail.

  6. Agreed PK. If other students are taking up resources by chatting with their FaceCrack friends then that may be depriving another student of legitimate research resources.

  7. Don’t most high schoolers/jr highers have crackberries these days anyway?

Fucking spoiled brats. When I was in jr high/up until grade 11 we had NO internet access at school! So suck it up, buttercup!

  8. When I was in school we had to burn furniture. Not for heat – for laughs. It was the late 70’s. The older teachers were all juicers and the young ones were coked to the tits. We could figuratively get away with murder, rather than literally , as is the case today.

  9. Yeah I see lots of jr high/high school kids with crackberries and iDevices and it kind of pisses me off. Mostly due to jealousy ^^; (though I’m an Android fan personally :P).

  10. holy shit, my comment was posted really late in the game, it should have been the first or second one, hence the blocks comment. ivan, did you do a nono on here, must have been a good one, shit i missed it too.

  11. I believe the main point of the bitch was not “WAHH I CAN’T CHECK FACEBOOK” but you also can’t get on a lot of useful ‘educational’ sites while you can still look at porn. But I guess most people on this site are old enough to get on the “let’s hate technology” bandwagon ;D

  12. And I bet all of you old farts also walked seven miles uphill both ways in snow up to your chest just to get to school eh?
Give me a break. Sorry the technological world has developed to the point where young people can own blackberrys, ipods and posess a limitless internet connection in our pockets.
Did I mention we all have colored, high definition flatscreens in our bedrooms as well?

  13. no, we walked uphill both ways and then when we got home our fathers would murder us and dance on our graves
