To the person who almost hit me while I was pulling out of a local business. You were far enough away but you were clearly going above the speed limit. I barely had enough time. The speed limit is 50 km/hour for a reason. Then you look at me like I’m an idiot. It is the reason why some people should not be allowed to drive. To all the people who fly on streets where there are business, buildings and intersections. Slow down and stop being so rude and self righteous! —Shaken up

If you had any experience as a driver, you would have been able to assess the other vehicle’s speed and determine it wasn’t safe for you to pull out. You gambled and almost lost. Go back to Young Drivers.
Yeah, it’s the other guy’s fault that you pulled out in front of him. I bet you’re the kind of douche that gives the finger while you’re doing something wrong, like that makes you right or something. Please hang up your keys, you’re not as awesome as you think you are.
You should get a horse.
What I hate is when assholes at a red light stop in front of exits so the person there can’t pull out.
It’s called defensive driving, mate. Look into it and stop spazzing out.
I think there is shared blame here.
The driver who is the subject of the bitch shouldn’t expect to have the right of way no matter how fast and reckless he drives. He should also be anticipating vehicles entering the street from driveways and intersections and driving at an appropriate speed.
The OB should have taken the time to assess the speed of the approaching vehicle – even if it was speeding as suggested – before entering the street.
Neither of them seemed to be practicing defensive driving. They both expect the other to be cautious without doing so themselves.
I call it a draw.
There have been accidents all over the city lately. People do need to slow down. If you get in an accident, your not getting anywhere faster.
Devil Harper has touched on an important issue. The dirty look/finger/whatever thrown at you by someone who makes a driving mistake and puts you in an odd position. That right blinker doesn’t give you the right to veer left, sticking the nose of your car into the street, so that you can back into your drive way. It means you’re turning right, not left. I should have T-boned that shitty driver, instead I got the dirty look for being cautious enough to be able to stop.
I’m going to go ahead and hazard a guess that you haven’t been driving that long if you knew he was going to fast and pulled out anyway. Do us all a favour and get a Halifax Transit pass.
It may be frustrating or rude but the reality is you would have found yourself on the losing end of the insurance claim if he did end up hitting you.
Hey, everyone! Nice to be back! Long time no type.
SHITZ, so sorry to hear about your canine friend. My deepest sympathies for your loss.
