Look, I know your job sucks. I’ve done it and people are rude. But the we come there to have it ‘our way’ so if we ask for a little less pickles or expect our sub to be tidy and are nice and polite about it – you should just grin an bear it.

I used to work at a Sub place where you could have it your Way as well girlie, and I was wicked at making sammiches ;D. It’s really not hard….lots of mayo means LOTS not 3 strips instead of 2 and a tiny, tiny but a lettuce means barely any, not a handful. I wish I could jump the counter and make it myself. But, I rarely eat their food anymore as you and I know we may as well eat Wendy’s and get less food poisoning ;D.

geez, it wasn’t a couple months ago and people were praising them for their liberal use of toppings, likely cause they were baked out of their tree.
You should HAVE to be high when working there….
that just makes good sense.
Some like their jobs, some don’t. Just go to a different sandwich shop.
Or get over it!

Maybe you should just grin an bear it. At least you’re eating food. You could be in a ditch starving, but oh my lettuce fell out of the bread, oh I can’t put it in my tender mouth now. Like GFunk said above, get over it. Go somewhere else, you’re not at a five star restuarant, you’re not gonna get neat tidy food. Did it really annoy you so much you had to write about it? Don’t answer that, I don’t care. Good Lord.
Obviously this years NSCAD grads didn’t listen when they were shown how to make a decent sarnie. I hope they make the Khyber into a sarnie shop, teach the artsy-fartsies something meaningful.

No more free student drink, and the staff would get bitched at if they put more than 8 olives on any one sandwich. And you smelled like BO all day if you went in there and stayed to eat. What a shame.
In any event, I can’t eat at that chain anymore because they use some ingredient that doesn’t agree with my gall-bladder-less digestive system. It sucks because i quite enjoy the ghettoness of their cold cut trio. *sigh*
The solution to this for everyone involved: the customer, the company, and the employees, is to hire more FILIPINOS (AKA Pilla-Peenos)!
They are well-known internationally as adaptable, hard working people who tend to accept the lower-paying jobs no one else wants, still do it well and, best of all, with a smile on their face. Just let them have their beloved Karaoke every once in a while and they’ll be happy as clams at high water wherever they go.
They seem to have figured this out in Edmonton, where just about every Subway, McDonald’s, Tim Horton’s, etc. is almost fully staffed by Pinoys, yet we still seem to get all the lowly depressed white trash working at our service establishments. In my opinion, Canada really needs to open its doors to more Filipinos in order for them to work at all the Subways and Timmys and Micky-Dees and BKs across the country. Let’s just wish them all a Mabuhay into Canada and get them to work!
And a lot of Filipina chicks are hot, too.

After 2 months of hell at subway i was fired yesterday.
subway isnt a bad place to work as long as your boss isnt a total dick.
My boss (who is a giant asshole to begin with) just came up to me yesterday mid-shift and said i was fired. never said why, he just did. he asked if i would finish the shift just so he wouldnt have to close. i would have too if it wasnt for the way he fired me.
i was in the middle of serving a customor and he dropped the bomb. right in front of everyone. i was pissed.
lets just say i stormed off after i expelled a handle of nasty things…
omfg He asked you to close after he fired you in mid-service in front of a customer; is there more to this story cause if not that is the most fucked up thing I have ever heard; and I’ve heard alot of fuckes up things dang! 🙂
