I heard a super funny story about a guy friend who joined that site with a fake name then got busted by the regs of the site. It was a very funny story.
I think anyone who is honest will admit that women are no less prone to bad behaviour than men are. It’s just different and more subtle bad behaviour.
At work I was a member of an all male management forum for a while. Monthly meetings were like walking into a pack of wild dogs. Anything you said could subject you to derision and mocking. It sure kept you on your toes! However, it was simply a matter of the lads all being very competitive and once the meeting was over everyone went back to being civilized. There was very little back-stabbing. As an interesting side-note, on the rare occasion when a female attended a monthly meeting as a guest speaker, all of the guys were on their best behaviour.
On the other hand, at one point a woman became the head of our entire company for the first time. The organization quickly became very feminized – but in a bad way. She hired long time friends as her second and third in command and they began to run what could be called a regime. The irony was that other women were their prime target. It was like a junior high mean girls club that picked other women (I suspect ones they thought of as competitors) to be excluded and marginalized. Small groups of people having whispered conversations throughout the office became the norm.
My personal take away from this is that my best work experience has been where both staff and management are relatively balanced between males and females. It brings out the best in both groups and limits the negative behaviours.
I really don’t see the problem with wimmin going on a private website and posting comments that might be seen as crude, offensive, malicious or even violent. I mean, it might be different if they were professionals in fields like education, healthcare or human resources….

there will always be those who leer and discuss and drool but keep those thoughts to yourselves and OUT of class/work. no one should have to have that crap thrown at them day after day while trying to work, study or just get through life.
and it goes for bullying of small men, artistic men, gay men, non-athletic men, bookish men, thin men, fat men. who should not be subject to constant ridicule as they walk through halls or sit at their desks. should they be subject of named posts about getting their heads shoved in toilets? underwear yarked up? pissed on?
this is not (or should not be) an issue between male and female. this is an issue about assholes vs non-assholes.
Does the school get to decide what students do on their own time? No. Does the school get to decide what students think? No. Does the school get to decide what are appropriate fantasies for their students? No.
No crime was committed or planned. Why is it taking so long to deal with this? Dal is in a precarious legal position when only codes of conduct are the rule. Freedom of expression and the law upholding it will rule.
Inappropriate comments? Sure! But lynch mob worthy? No. Expulsion worthy? No. An excellent opportunity for discussion? Yes.

my understanding – from a psychological perspective – is that humans have some very strange fantasies including sexual fantasies. on top of that, the medical community considers this to be “normal”. even expressing these fantasies orally or in writing is “normal”. criminalizing the behavior of these young men will not stop their fantasies nor stop other men from having similar fantasies. by criminalizing people in these situations, we end up in a lose – lose situation. Does the term hate-fuck really mean rape? I think you’d have a hard time arguing that one to a judge. It can easily be taken to me aggressive sex, which some girls are into.
