Your parents have to pay your rent because she hasn’t worked long enough to get maternity leave. Both of you smoke… cigarettes and pot, drink A LOT (how many times has she gotten kicked out of a bar in the last 3 months for being too drunk?) and think that “wanting to have someone take care of you when you’re older” is the only valid reason you need to get pregnant.
You actually believe that nothing will really change once you have the kid because you’ll hire a nanny! How the hell can you afford a nanny when you have to get your parents to pay rent?!
I feel sorry for this kid already. I know you think your little matching tattoos mean true love but couldn’t you wait until you knew each other for at least the length of a pregnancy before you decided to procreate? —Chose not to have kids now because I can`t afford them yet

What a shame for this child. People who cannot afford to raise a child SHOULD NOT be allowed to keep the child. These people are going to make awful parents unless they clean up their act (cut out the drink, drugs, and get a career/education). What an absolute shame for the unborn!
I have, on rare occasions, seen those who have cleaned up their act when they found out they were having a child. I remember a couple of friends in particular back when I was still in total party mode. Used to come over and smoke up/drink/party at my place all the time and then the girl found out she was pregnant. It caused my friend to go get a job and work more in one week than he had in his life. I believe she has now since gone back to school and he has moved his way up at work. Their daughter has since started school and they live in a clean little place in Cape Breton…. Unfortunately they are an exception to the rule and chances are this situation will introduce another child into a dirty, hopeless world.
OP, you have your head on straight. This is why I hate people who tell me I’m selfish to stay childfree. Just to have someone to take care of you when you’re older is a terrible reason to bring a child into this world. Or because you’re “lonely”. Talk about selfish !
Are there really people that stupid out there? Sad.
The thing that gets me is that if this couple had tried to adopt a child or even foster one they would most likely be turned down because it’s obvious they are unfit to parent but anyone can get knocked up…actually I take that back, sadly many people who WOULD make wonderful parents are unable to concieve.
