If you had a car you’d pay a lot more than $60 a month to commute, so I guess you get what you pay for.This kind of shit happens ALL the time in snow storms. After riding the bus for a certain amount of time it should kind of be expected. Do you have a cell phone? because if you do you could’ve just called the call centre yourself to see what was going on. I’m pretty sure the number is on the bus stop sign.And do you know HOW many routes there are? Don’t expect the driver of another route to know anything about any other route bus his very own bus because it’s not humanly possible to know the ins and outs of every single route at any given point in time. And I’m pretty sure he/she was too busy navigating on greasy streets than calling to see what’s up with your route. It sucks you had to wait an hour, but in a snow storm nothing should surprise you. The storm was all over the news the night before in the weather reports so perhaps you should’ve dressed appropriately? Because if you were THAT cold you obviously weren’t (especially if you got “frostbite”.
It’s not the driver’s responsibility to get on the phone and solve your problems, it’s his responsibility to drive his bus. But yeah, I agree, I know from experience it sucks major, giant, hairy balls to be standing there in the cold watching bus after bus go by in the opposite direction.
believe it or not they do have a “customer service” line, so next time give them a ring instead of taking it to the driver … most aren’t smart enough to realize they’re supposed to be offering a service. i emphathize with you, i wish more people were willing to take the bus!
AFAIK, the bus driver’s JOB is to drive you from point a to point b, NOT to be your secretary. Call the customer service line yourself!
I could say something here, but the comments below say everything that is needed. All bets are off in a snowstorm when it comes to buses, deliveries, taxis, etc…
I can’t believe how many routes there are to Sackville/Bedord or Dartmouth but NONE to Clayton Park – I waited over 30mins yesterday for a bus on Sp Garden to Clayton Park – every 2 mins there was a bus to either Sackville, Bedford or Dartmouth – NONE for Clayton Park!!! What is up with that!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey D! If you went to the corner of Spring Garden and South Park, you would find 2 buses, the 17 and 18 take you DIRECTLY to Clayton Park. Get a map and a schedule, man…
I am aware that the 17 and 18 go to Clayton Park but in the 30 mins I was waiting at Sp Grdn and South Park there was none to be had!!
