dental hygienist who must’ve thought I knew where Jimmy Hoffa
was buried because she tortured me for at least 20 minutes.
And while I was questioned by this orc of Mordor I could see
blood being sucked through the saliva suction tube in my mouth.
It’s my fucking mouth, I don’t care what you learned in your stupid
two year community college program, you don’t hurt people like that.
Out spite I haven’t brushed me teeth in days. All while I’m getting a

Reasonably well written and funny right up until the last line. Wishing cancer on anybody isn’t edgy, or darkly satirical. It’s like joking about rape; evil, with a heaping side of banality.

I love my hygenist. She is so cool I have now become a junkie for oral care impliments and I love to brush my teeth. I would give you her name OP, but I wouldn’t want her to go though the torture if dealing with your grody teeth and matching attitude. And Dental Hygiene is a lot more than two years at a community college–have you never learned to check your facts??? You might want to do a little research (and oral care) before you open your mouth. Just sayin’.
You are a fucking idiot. There is blood because of build up and trying to get the crap out of off your teeth and out of your gums. I doubt there are many people who do not bleed during a cleaning. Quit being a SET douchebag.
I used to have a lot of sensitivity and some bleeding during cleanings. Then, my current hygienist showed me how to floss properly and now it’s pain and blood free. The main thing is to curve the floss around the tooth a little rather than just going straight up and down. There are lots of videos on correct flossing on the web. Here’s a written description.

I also use a sonic-toothbrush and a water pick.
The last several times I went for cleaning, there was no blood, no pain, very little scraping, and a lot of chatting.
Very few people find rotten teeth a turn on.
Fyi: dental hygiene is a four year university degree program.
and to be honest whats wrong with community college diplomas, someones gotta fix your car, nurse your mom at the old age home, build your house, come fix the drain when your two year old throws you iPhone in there, install your new chandeliers. Many people make more money in trades then people with degrees, I work with many people with degrees and I’m in retail, Science degrees included, I don’t have the 40k in debt either and I’m glad!
^^^ it used to be that almost everyone was encouraged or even expected to go to university – even if they had little interest in what was being taught. A fair number of those folks ended up with nearly useless degrees, working in unrelated jobs, and paying unnecessary student loans. I went to university for a very specific field of study so it worked out for me but I think that a lot of people who go to university would be better served with a community college diploma in a trade or technology.
Nothing is wrong with community college. Regular readers of LTWWB will notice that it is something I frequently endorse in my posts.
But the LW thought he was pointing out the dental hygienist’s lack of skill by claiming she must “only” have had 2 years of training, when the real issue was his own of lack of knowledge of the profession and also of the existence of dental floss.
