just heard on the TV news that there might be a problem with The Rolling Stones BiGGER BANG Tour fireworks because of residential area considerations and logisticsare they gonna actually tell The STONES they can’t have fireworks at the end of the show??

They didn’t have the concert on the hill because the Garrison Grounds doesn’t have the capacity the promoters want – I think it maxes out at about 40,000. They’re figuring they can fit at least 60,000 on the Commons. Given how much it costs to book the Stones and put on this show, the additional 20,000 people are important – they simply couldn’t make enough money from ticket sales on the Hill without making ticket prices truly ridiculous. And clearly, shooting off fireworks over residential areas isn’t safe, and probably wouldn’t go over well with the residents of the area.Next time, maybe you should do your homework before you start calling other people stupid. You might even consider learning to spell/use punctuation.
Hmmmmm…Citadel hill isn’t near any residential area?? To my knowledge there are quite a few apartments/condos/hotels in that area.
Better yet have it at Shearwater … oh yeah, you Halifax snobs won’t go over the bridge …
