WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!? I found your dog in your car on Sunday and witnesses told me he’d been left there for an hour or more! I heard his cries of pain and I opened your door, letting him out. I gave him water and I sat in the shade with him for another hour or more before you finally showed up and tried to contest my accusation of cruelty. I reported you to the police, and I hope they take this as seriously as they should. On a 25 degree day the interior of your car can reach 35 degrees within ten minutes, in twenty minutes it will reach 41 degrees and 43 within half an hour! Even if your window IS open a crack, even if you’re parked in the shade; leaving your dog in the car is a great way to give him heat stroke or even roast him alive! —Angry Animal Advocate

Between Pamplona, the Stampede, the 5 dogs beaten to death in Saskatchewan last week, the 20 rabbits stomped to death at a sanctuary on Vancouver island, it’s been a bad week for animal lovers. I feel like Charlton Heston at the end of “Beneath the Planet of the Apes” If there really was a Doomsday Bomb, I wouldn’t just collapse on the control panel – I’d dance a jig for joy, all over it.
Y U so dramatic op?
c’mon people it’s basic chemistry. here’s a feel good for you commander http://imagineomit.blogspot.com/2010/03/tr…
Awwwww. Thanks Painey. You da best. Rawk.
I would have done the same as you OB, Bravo Zulu.
Donk – some people feel the same way about animals, as other do about children. Take me for example, if it came down to it…and I could only save my dog, or a stranger…I’d save my dog.
Imagine your reaction to a toddler in the same situation, OB probably feels that way.
Bloody dolts!
There has been enough information broadcast about this issue so there’s no excuse! The owners of this dog should try sitting in a car for an hour on a 25+ degree day even in the shade with the window a crack open.
“Imagine your reaction to a toddler in the same situation” hahaha you obv. don’t know me.
Um, hmm, I should have perhaps been more explicit. That is indeed a bad thing to do to a furry friend but OP just seemed dramatic in the story telling. “…and witnesses told me he’d been left there for an hour or more!” … sounds like my g-ma when she’s recounting a story.
Lol
People are absolutely retarded. Why the heck bring your dog out somewhere if you’re going to leave it in the car!??!
Donk- your comments make me wish there was a “like” button on this board! My nan exaggerates and gets dramatic too!!
OP, how’d you get into the car? I can’t imagine people’d be stupid enough to leave pets/kids behind in an unlocked car.
OB I hope the owners rapped you on the knuckles with a ruler for touching their private property. Lucky it wasn’t my Isuzu you put your hands on!
you’ll be lucky if they don’t charge you for breaking into their car. people are stupid, and some, should never be allowed to have an animal in their care. as a past member of the s.p.c.a. in bridgewater, i can tell you this. if your heart was in the right place, your head was not. they don’t have to do anything they don’t wanna do./ but if a report is made, there is a world of difference then.if you had called cops, then and there, this might have ended a lot different than it did. call as it is happening, not after the fact. just about everyone has a celphone these days, even if a passerby had one, call the cops first.
hahaha PF <3
“I can’t imagine people’d be stupid enough to leave pets/kids behind in an unlocked car.”
Why not? People that leave dogs in cars in the summer are morons of the highest degree. I wouldn’t be surprised if the owner of the car wears velcro shoes. I support smashing the windows out of the car and not waiting around for the owner. Maybe leave a nice note: I accidentally broke your windows after you accidentally neglected your dog.
You need to keep calling the police. This person should not own animals. they will die in her/his care.
No seriously.. i know it’s not your responsibility to be the patron saint of dogs but there’s a lot of summer still left and this little dog’s gonna suffer through a good deal of it.
OP, you need to contact the SPCA and the police.
You should have just taken the dog. That’ll learn ’em!
