Start paying for a license, insurance, and registration and then whine about your tire. I personally would love to run over half,if not more, bikes out there as nobody seems to know how to drive them on city streets!!!
HDB: Just because one pays for license,insurance and registration, it does not give one the right to destroy another person’s property. How does having a car make you a supreme being compared to those that choose to be more eco-friendly by riding a bike? With your logic somebody could just run around willy nilly running things over because they pay so much money for said car. So if those that don’t drive cars don’t like it, well too damn bad!
I agree with “bent out of shape” – in principle.However, why can’t people who ride bikes not sound like they have 4 feet long dreads and where their beverage of choice is carrot juice? You all a bunch of hippies.You must start considering normality if only to promote the change you want among the “normal” population.

still…a car is simply not a viable option for many of us who simply can’t afford said license, insurance, registration, etc.. Other than smelly metro transit, a bike is our lone sourse of transportation, and to have it damaged can drink our already bare pockets. I appreciate Bent out of shape’s frustration…because replacing rims and tires, even on just a bike, is simply a pain in the arse.PS ~ why is it assumed that all cyclists are granola-munching, yoga-stretching, dread-sporting hippies???
Accidents happen. Mistakes get made. Perhaps you have too harshly judged the driver (nice potty mouth, Twain). I’ve been riding my bike in Hfx for over 15 years now- without incident. Been driving a car, too. Who am I- capitalist or Marxist? Join the human race or stay bent.
