And if your point was that I should have been on the bike path instead of on road then hear this: I was already going at 50 km/h, the speed limit for the road, it would have be irresponsible for me to ride that fast on the bike lane where pedestrians walk.
Back home, cyclists used to ride with a water bottle filled with urine… for jerks like you that ignore cyclists. Everybody have their windows down in the summer: easy to spray.

Stay on the fucking bike lane (the goddamn piece of free space that cyclists fight so dearly for) …and if there are pedestrians in the way, well that is why bicycles are supposed to be equipped with a bell or warning device. If you crowd me out when there is a perfectly good bike lane right there and THEN you spray piss on me…that’s you mother fucker…that smear on the ground!
That stretch of SIDEWALK isn’t for bikes at all if it were it would clearly marked with paintings of a bike on it like all other bike lanes in the city ( which isnt many ) so the OP had every right to be on the road .I drive a car and ride a bike and I get really pissed at some of the stupid assholes who drive in this city that think because they are in a car they have more of right to do what they want then a person on a bike,grow up for fuck sakes deal with it , we have to be on the road . When I am driving my car I dont have any problem giving people on bikes the room they need it’s not hard . Get your head out of your asses pay attention to whats going on around you while your driving and everything will be just fine.Heaven forbid your drive was set back by 5 seconds because you had to slow down a little or ( Gasp ) go a little wider around them , god the torture .
Bike lanes are for Bikes, sidewalks for pedestrians, roads for motorized vehicles. If there is a bike lane you are to use it, if not then the road is yours as well us drivers’. If it was a sidewalk then you had every right to be there, if it were a bike lane you should use it regardless of your speed. Either way the motorist had no right to jam you in like they did. That’s just a stupid move no matter how you look at it! I am glad you were not injured, although I wouldn’t recommend the piss thing as it will get you an assault charge…I have tried similar things, with varying fluids….lol
indeed. the piss thing would very easily get you a charge of assault with a deadly weapon (body fluids tend to have a nasty habit of carrying diseases you do).a couple years ago, a guy in the states spat at an arresting officer when his wife/gf called 911 for him beating her up. he got 8 months for beating his wife, and 20 years in jail for spitting at the cop.
Thats worst thing about the Critical Mass rides and other “pro-bike lane” fanatics: once you have bikes lanes, people in cars expect everyone to be using them. Sorry, but if I’m doing 50 I’m gonna be on the road where I belong and am permitted to be.BTW, funny story: just a few weeks ago I was biking in the bike lane on St. Margarets Bay Road toward Halifax. When I kept going straight through at the lights the guy in the car just behind me freaked out and honked his horn all pissed off like. I ended up chatting with him to find out that I “didn’t signal” that I was going straight. He assumed that the bike lane wheeled around to the right and was suprised that I went straight. I asked him how signals when he is going straight. Anyway, the bike lane continues through the intersection (it gets picked up on the other side and goes as far as the bridge). So yeah, Bikes Lanes do more harm than good fuckers.
