to that bitch, that said I didn’t know what I was doing when asked about advil and arthritis, first of all I am technician I can’t counsell you jack ass, Why is there so many unpleasant assholes in this city? Anyone who works with people knows that its a bitch when someone acts like a total jerk when coming into a place of buisness! God I hate retail, I would never ever go to your work and be a bitch and think I know everything. Know your place in this world and Be pleasant no matter what . Ps. Why is everyone in a rush! Especially in the pharmacy These are your medications, do u want them fast, or do you want them wrong so u can od or whatever. I am so sick of people, its hard dealing with all you ugly peope especially the ones ugly on the inside! Twits!

Make something up. Nothing dangerous mind you, like maybe sell some multi-vitamins as part of the sale. Or some of that hippy snake oil, hemp seeds, root of something or other…you know, all those ‘natural’ pills they have lining the shelves. Maybe if you sell enough of that crap you’ll get a promotion.
Pharm kid, I feel your pain. I have worked in the service industry for my most of my working life, and deciding to be a pharm. tech really showed me how many colostomy-bags are out there. I have had to deal with some of the rudest people I have ever had to deal with, worst than dealing with drunks in a bar. People that come in and feel that you are ruining their day because they have to wait for thier scripts, saying things like “I am here with my child and I cannot wait any longer.” feeling that somehow that because they have some hellspawn there with them that they are somehow more important than anybody else that is using that stores service. I could go on in regards to the crap that people dish out on us techs. in the run of a day.The worst part is the crap pay, the first job I landed paid me $8.25 an hr, when I was hired I inferred from the interview that I was at least getting $8.50. Nice to see what spending a year plus in school to end up making basically minimum wage. I am now working in a wharehouse packing stuff for drugstores and making more $0.75/hr more and don’t have to deal with TWITS. That and Cranky, if we gave out medical adivce like that the only promotion we would get would be a exit from our job. As the orginal poster stated we cannot consell patients, we cannot tell them that they should take “X” to treat “X’, a pharmacist needs to do that. There is a suprizing amount of OTC medications that can conflict with Rx meds or even OTC meds or preexisting medical condidtions. For example I didn’t even know that ginsing conflicts with soo many things until I read the side of a Cold FX bottle and what that conflicts with is shocking. In closing if I am going to continue with being a pharmacy technician, I want it to be in a hospital. The pay is way better and no fucktard patients/clients to deal with, I can deal with bitchy nursing staff, at least they are way more reasonable about things.
