I’m so fucking annoyed by people not respecting their elders, I hope everyone shits on you when you get old too. To the disrespectful biotch who wouldn’t let the elderly lady go ahead of her at the blood collection clinic in Clayton Park yesterday morning I felt like slapping the stupid out of you. SHE WAS WAITING WAYYY LONGER THAN YOUR ASS WAS. She forgot to take a number but she asked you politely to let her go ahead and you rolled your eyes…I hope they stay like that, in the back of your fucking head.

  1. I take my dear ole mom’s attitude: get old, get loud. If people didn’t respect her cane, she nailed them in the shins.

  2. What time of day was it? Because I usually go to the blood collection clinic on bayers road — it’s only a short bus ride and it’s free. And depending on what time of day you go the wait is super short. and they have tv!

I have to get blood work every three months and I have to fast so what I do is sleep in and just go around noon and I’m in and out within 30 minutes (and that includes having to pee in a stupid cup). I find the earlier you go to that place the more crowded it is. So I just chill and go later (stay up later and eat something around 2-ish, then sleep until 10-ish and get down to the clinic by noon. you only have to fast 8 hours, not right after midnight).

How old was the younger person? If they were teens/early 20s it doesn’t surprise me in the least. I’m not sure I’d let people go head of me willy nilly, but if she was there first I wouldn’t act like such a cunt and not let her go ahead. And making older people wait is just mean and when they were there longer than me….that’s just extra mean. Shit, even if she wasn’t there before me I’d let her go ahead of me.

The elderly get treated like shit. It’s really appalling. I love older people. They have great stories and all they want is someone to listen to them 🙁

…and the cranky ones crack me the fuck up.

  3. our elders are sometimes dicks which i cannot stand, but no matter how fucking cranky and rude senior citizens are to me, I cannot help but think I will be just like that, but probably with a rifle and bottle of whisky nearby.

  4. I try to be considerate and friendly to all people, especially older people whenever I can. Sometimes though, I find it extremely difficult to be courteous to people who show no ounce of respect to me. I’m not saying I get this from all old people, but it’s those few who have an attitude about them which get to me.

Case in point: I had given up my bus seat to an elderly woman (just being nice) and so I’m standing by her, holding on to the pole and she asks me to move aside! On a packed bus! Why? Because I was in her way. Where could I go? Nowhere! There was no room to move!

I understand the whole respect your elders thing, I get that. I hope people are nice to me when I’m a crotchety old hag, but I do believe this: respect has to go both ways.

  5. Elderly people…
Frankly they just piss me off, they are usualy cranky and mean they exspect you to everything for them. She did not get a number at the blood clinic and exspected someone to let her go in? see she is most likely firmilar with the take a number and wait process whys hould the other person give up theirs>? they could have had something better to be doing.

  6. You mean like learning how to spell, Jane? If you talk like you write I wouldn’t excpect to get respect from anybody. Sound firmilar?

  7. I don’t mind as much when they’re clearly an elder… we’re talking decade or more.
It’s the fucks that are days to maybe a couple years older that bug me.
I should respect you ad infinitum because you sprouted a solid 2 months earlier than I? uh, no.

  8. Cut the elderly some slack- they have been through enough. Hard for Idol / ET watching swarmer punks to comprehend. Spare the rod, spare the child.
