Yeah she seems to have low self esteem, but there are still a lot of shitty single men in Halifax. When I was living there…*shudder* the dating prospects were absolutely atrocious. All the single guys seem to be single for umm… a good reason. If they were at all attractive, they were assholes. If they had a good personality, they had a face that would stop a damn clock! Not to mention, I had some of the worst sex with guys I met in Halifax. When I moved out west, I realized there was an abundance of single men who met my standards. Now I don’t have to settle for just physical attractiveness or just good personality, I can have both! Single gals of HRM, if you have standards, expect to stay single or date down. All the good ones are taken!

Koda, those east coast boys are the ambitious, hard-working, quality dudes I would actually date. When I was east, a lot of single guys I came across were huge complaining broke ass SETs but were too fucking lazy or too much of pussies to do something about it (i.e. go out west, make good money=get ahead in life). Those boys, yes boys, need not apply when it comes to dating educated ambitious women such as myself. There are good men on the east side, don’t get me wrong, just don’t expect them to be single.
A lot of the single guys in Halifax hang out in bars because. They lack the mental fortitude to have anything else to do but drink. Why? Because it works. Until women start turning down these assholes, it won’t change.
Again, low self-esteem works wonders for some. OB, your friend won’t change until she realizes there are much better men out there, but we’re probably too busy doing interesting things to be hanging out in bars on a regular basis. She needs to believe she deserves a good guy – and maybe she does.
Real women – confident, intelligent and attractive women – will have nothing to do with that type of guy.
