I sat in a parking lot in Lacewood, right beside a 4 way stop, as I lightly sipped on my coffee for a good 15 mins, I witnessed 3 cut offs, 2 middle fingers, lip reading of: You f ing idiot and stupid bitch… It was a little comical, just follow the BASIC rules, look all ways, yield, speed limit etc…

You people with all that rage (who really in the 1st place shouldn’t be allowed to operate a tricycle let alone a car) who are always complaining when they drive (you no who you are). The funny thing is , YOU are the worst drivers, the only funnier thing I could think of, is watching one of the incidents happen and one of HRM finest actually getting off their ass and pulling that idiot over. That was coffee WAS GOOD! —G.D.G.

  1. Which intersection was it? The Willett-Lacewood or the Lacewood 4-way across from McD’s?

Either way, those intersections are terrible. I’m glad I don’t live in that area anymore.

  2. I don’t know if the 4 way stop signs are more fun than the 3 way stop that exists at the Sobey’s lot at exit 8 in Elmsdale. It is a 4 way intersection, but the incoming traffic off the main road has no stop sign.
The other three spots have to stop for that intersection & I have often paused while gassing up my truck, to watch some of those citizens who should be poster children for even more abortions, that attempt to pull out from their stop sign, when those with the right of way just blow through… The humor from watching those who seem to feel hard done by because they’ve stopped & believe you’ve cut them off…the yelling, middle finger waving ,near misses etc. is better than a comedy show in town !

What makes it even funnier (for myself) is the only way into that parkinglot is that intersection…which means every driver in there has come straight through… without having to stop themselves ~;p

  3. Haha. More, do you live out there? I grew up in that area (more specifically Lantz and Enfield). I’ve never really found that intersection to be a challenge, even when I was being taught to drive.

  4. I live out here (for going on 9 years)
How long has it been since you’ve been out here ?
In the last 5/6 years the amount of new homes in the Enfeild, Elmsdale, Lantz, 9 Mile River area, has been explosive with several hundred new homes in just the last 2 years…it is actually bumper to bumper week days around 5ish, coming from exit 8 to Leno’s !

That intersection in the Parking area by Tim’s/Esso/ Sobey’s is good for a laugh & getting better ~;)

  5. shit o.p.,i can see this on a daily basis, and i’m not even on a major artery. this must have been a very slow day. if the stop is where i think, then get there at about 4 p.m.

  6. I love Hants Co. driving stories, the area has really grown since we lived in Lantz, but that parking lot is really fun to watch especially if it’s wet.

  7. I bet I know the exact spot you are talking about. I use to enjoy my “coffee” there as well back in the day. The fucking entertainment you get from watching people go through there.

  8. I live near Willett-Lacewood and don’t find it to be that bad. The four way stop in the parking lot by Timmies can be a pain in the ass. Nobody seems to be able to figure out when to go.

  9. The problem with the intersection in question (as I see it) is the people lined up for the coffee drive thru that often extends into the intersection (blocking traffic). I get a bit of rage when that happens because when an intersection is blocked people tend to do stupid things… like swerving around cars that are blocking said intersection and hitting my car.
