“The Mayor says so” was all the bouncer would say. Two pieces of ID needed to get into Reflections. In about two minutes, a dozen people turned away on Friday night! The government issues one piece of legal ID, a driver’s license or identification card. That is the piece of ID. What a goddamn stupid rule that the other bars we went to didn’t have. If HRM is forcing Reflections to do this, IT IS WRONG. If this is a Reflections rule, IT IS DUMB.

  1. This is the second bitch about this. Has anyone checked to see if they’re allowed to do this? The only situation I could see that it would be okay, is if a person doesn’t have a provincial ID, so asking for two cuts down on the odds someone’s got a fake ID. If bars are going to start not accepting drivers licenses and provincial ID’s as being good enough, maybe the province will have to go back to the old way of issuing liquor ID’s as the accepted form.

  3. This again…..WHAT THE FUCK???Just like any other club, pub, tavern or restaurant; Reflections is a PRIVATELY OWNED business. You don’t have the right to be there – you have the privilege to be there (even if that privilege costs $10 to get in). If they require 2 pieces of ID to get in they are completely within their right.

  4. Reflections “2 Pieces of ID” policy is enforced to ensure no illegal drugs are sold within the place to ‘underage’ patrons with fake ID. But as long as you are of legal age, bring your cash, because you name it and they have it for you to buy.

  5. Two pieces of ID to enter the city’s biggest drugden? What’s next? A passport required at the local crackhouse?

  6. So, Rejections turns off the cold water taps in the bathrooms, cuz “it’s not safe to drink”, and allows said bathrooms to become so GROSS you can get more diseases than drugs in there; they charge WAY too much at the door to get into that shitburg, and now they want to cull the herd by demanding two pieces of ID??! Do they make that much money by over charging and not fixing anything, that they can turn away customers??? Jeebus, I’m reminded more and more why I don’t go there anymore. Friggin’ dirtbags!!

  7. ok… Three things that need to be said1.) Its not a photo ID. The second ID can be a Social Security card, Health Card, anything government issued. Shouldn’t most people carry their health card with them especially if they are going to a bar like that?2) Stop bitching about lost money for this and the following reason. If fine is more then amount of people turned away times cover, then they are saving money.3) Last time I checked Reflections has never had a problem filling their bar.

  8. There’s a couple you could hit actually, or go on Guerilla Gayfare. I’ve wanted to go on that just to see it.
