My beef is dyed hair colour. Okay RED is the in today hair colour. But why is it okay to dye your hair red and after awile the roots peep out. But if you dye your hair blonde you are mostly classified as being an old bag. Dyed hair is dyed hair no matter what colour you dye it. THAT IS MY BITCH. —Roots

Run Lola Run! or Fifth Element… either way I think it’s hot
I think (and i might be wrong) that it’s because red is a funky hair colour. Shades of red people like to wear now do not occur naturally in humans so.. it’s seen as somehow having a different purpose than blond where lots of women want to go blond for historically stupid reasons (not all women of course but historically.. you know)
That and most women who aren’t natural blonds don’t look good wearing blond hair. It washes them out which ages them and then, when the roots come in, it makes the whole mess look terribly untidy and sickly.
Whereas older women who choose red are somehow seen as rebellious and cool. Roots or no roots. There is a shade of red to suit everyone. There is NOT a shade of blond to suit everyone.
it’s bullshit OP. But i think maybe it has something to do with that nonsense i just wrote..
Who really gives a fuck?
FWP
orgasmatron well.. people who are being judged by the style they choose to display might care. At least enough to discuss it.
You can always let the grey roots grow in and be classified as a *REALLY* old bag. LOL If blonde’s your thing OB – bleach it up!! Why you care what others think of the rug you are wearing you YOUR own skull?
Stop dying your hair.
Dying hair red is in. Being born a ginger is not.
OB … do with your hair what you wish. Remember it’s YOUR hair, not the hair of the person that’s judging … you have to live with it and be happy with it. And, if you can’t deal with the opinions of others (who probably really don’t matter to you anyway) … then don’t colour your hair.
Personally speaking, I don’t let anything change the colour of my hair except the sun … for me, it’s not worth the time or money I’d have to invest in maintaining it … but that’s my choice.
A lot of people henna in the red which is plant based and eventually washes out – a natural alternative to slathering harsh chemical dyes on to your vulnerable scalp.
I still don’t get what’s so horrible about roots showing….
I mean, is it a sign that you’re too poor to dye your hair every few weeks?
I don’t get it…
though I do like some of the strange colors…
definitely NOT the orange with purple polka-dots I used to see in high school.
Olivia Wilde couldn’t even pull that one off.
some femaes look really good with different color hair. big deal, is it hurting you in any way at all?
You dye clothing; you colour hair.
My old lady had flaming dyed red hair topped with a towering bun-nest until she was 80, thus the nickname ‘Attila the Bun’. That’s why I decided to let mine go grey.
Amen, Suckers!
I’m too vain to dye, but it would be nice if my hair was still golden brown.

You pluck a chicken, you TWEEZE eye brows.
Potato potahto.
….Hey I thought you were straight, Mr. Meaty?
Sorry, TTFN. I didn’t notice the grey. I’m always staring at your rack.
