To those morons who drive through the flashing red lights of a stopped school bus: it means you are required by law to stop! It also means we are picking students up or dropping them off! Many of our buses have cameras, and we are catching license plate numbers, vehicle and driver descriptions and reporting them to police. The fine for the first offense is close to $500 and six points against your license. Pay attention for the safety of school children! —We Are Watching!

  1. If my area is any indication, most drivers don’t get two hoots about school buses or the kids on them. If I obey the speed limit in a school zone, I can guarantee that at least one impatient SUV or truck driver will be right on my ass honking impatiently for me to go faster. That’s when I smile broadly & switch on the cruise control.

  2. I was making a delivery on Connolly st in Halifax and came upon a school bus idling in front of the school. As I went to go by I heard the driver beeping at me to stop and obey the flashing lights and stop sign that’s on the bus. So I went back to inform them that they didn’t have the stop sign out or the flashing lights on. So she apologized for her mistake. Maybe better training is in order
