To the girl on the 52 who complimented my glasses today- I apologize for my lame reply. I’m always totally thrown off when strangers pay me compliments. What I should have said was, “Thank you so much- I love yours too. I wish I could pull off red like you do!” —Bespectacled and Befuddled

She was probably mentally tabulating how much puff money her neighborhood fence would give her for them
Yeah, we all think of what to say when it’s too late and the pressure’s off. Even if you think of the words, you still have to say it. It probably would have come out ” Yeah, I love you. I wish I could pull them off.”
Red glasses look like shit.
Try rose coloured glasses,although not everyone can pull those off.As a realest, I’m not a fan of them .

I think most people are taken by surprise when strangers pay them compliments, but I couldn’t not tell you. You inspired me to check out Gaudet for my next pair!
