I was told people from the East Coast were the nicest most friendliest of peoples in Canada. After Friday, (and many other times too) dealing with you morons driving; letting some people go ahead of me and some people not stopping at a 4 way stop and not give, you know some sort of appreciation, I have come to realize this is NOT the friendliest place in Canada. —Halifax Wouldn’t Survive 2 Seconds in an Ontario Snow Day

It’s ok OP. Idiots exist in everything everywhere sooooooo yeah. People do seem to have some sort of hated for their blinkers though … maybe they think the car will explode *le sigh* ’tis what it is, you just keep being a good driver.
i discussed this non turn signal thingy with various people, everyone agreed it seemed to be a halifax phenomenon
Our friendliness is a common misconception.
Yes bad drivers are everywhere but friendliness now seems to be more about the person than their region.
OB, the traffic flow works well if you’re aggressive. But those passive assholes too scared to press the gas peddle, or merge into traffic are the ones who cause the accidents.
“Halifax Wouldn’t Survive 2 Seconds in an Ontario Snow Day”
Would that be one of those Ontario snow days where the Canadian Army has to be called out…?
i knew someone would go there^^
You’re quite right OP. We have the same asshole ratio as most other places.
In other cities, merging traffic will give you a thank you wave if you make the merge easy for them….this morning, I should have gotten a thank you wave, but the bitch wasn’t offering it to me.
People in halifax are just ridiculous when it comes to driving. They have absolutely no sense of their surroundings, they never shoulder check, they have an extremely delayed reaction to when the light turns green and drive 50km/hr on the highway. Friendliness..no. Stupidity….yes.
on the 401 in Toronto there are people who drive around 140km +, its a huge high way, and if you go 50 km on that you will most likely get honked at, given the finger and probably tailgated….this would probably happen on any major highway in or around the GTA…
