The father of the gent I work for passed away last year. He served in the RN in WW 2. I’m sorry I never met him. I love talking with vets. Greatest Generation – Damn Straight! Rawk, Proud Rawk
you’re making me weepy ivan. i love talking with vets too and i adore my dad tho he was 12 when the war ended. my father-in-law served in italy and came back forever changed but he shared a few stories. he died before my son was born but we have his medals on the wall and my son knows all about him…melancholy rawk
You, The Bear and the Boy are very privileged to have that connection. My Gram’s second husband served in Italy and Holland with the Carleton & Yorks. Sad,Humble, Appreciative Rawk.

Ici aussi. Lately I’ve been cutting SOBova’s rough red vino with some orangina and pouring it over ice for a lazy bastard’s sangria. There is nothing more relaxing than sitting out on the balcony in the evening with a cold beverage, watching lazy contrails trace their way across an azure sky, seeing the corbies placidly grazing on the new mown lawns and hearing the distant sound of random gunfire from far-off Highfield.

I’m pretty sure the bar is for Military people and their families only…
But if you do have DND or military ID you can get in
the fleet club on barrington i assume…got any military id colonel? i am pretty sure suckulous has some we could use

Brilliant! Spassibo Snap. Just looking throught the list of visiting ships has got me salivating. Back in ’85, for the 75th Anniversary I spent 3 days down at Stad touring ships. Hella Kule.
i was in the army cadets but i don’t have my kilt and spats any more. my pa is drooling as well ivan…don’t know what i will get to see, working working working
I would volunteer there too….
only I’d volunteer to reduce their inventory.
I plan on helping with the reduction of inventory when I’m not on shift.

It’s open to the public from noon-6PM afterwards I think it’s military only
