Where does the author of this article from the current edition of “The Coast” think that the money comes from to operate things like the branded EMERA Oval?? From EMERA! This facility didn’t miraculously appear out of Peter Kelly’s ass…it was funded by TAX Payers and Emera and the operating costs are partially covered by Emera’s sponsorship. Would he prefer the users have to pay to skate on it, or that we raise taxes to pay those bills? Dude, shit costs money….I would love to see better seats in the metro centre, but I don’t want to have to pay for them, and if Scotia Bank wants to throw 6.5 $Million all in return for putting their name on the building….how is that NOT a good thing?
