what is it with people blasting their cell phones on the bus? I was on the 14 last saturday when someone asked a blonde bitch to turn her music down when she felt that “taking it off the bus and smashing your face in” to “show some respect” was the answer. Sure, whoever asked you to turn your music down could have been more polite, but you should realize that not everyone likes your personal taste of music, and whoever it was that asked you to turn it down was right-it was shitty fuckin music. Learn some respect you fuckin bleach blonde skank and put headphones in.

  1. It is bastard fish, but I’m confused, did this girl have music on without headphones, because that’s pretty disrespectful to start off with..

  2. Yeah it’s worded strangely, I though the blonde was the one who said “show some respect” though re-reading it I can’t tell.

I think she just played music through her cell phone, without headphones. Like a small music player. Which I can sympathize with the OP because that would be fucking annoying.

  3. I’m pretty sure you’re required to wear headphones while listening to music on the bus….so….maybe the driver should’ve said something to her if she wasn’t.

Either way, she sounds like a self entitled bitch.

  4. Everybody does that these days, its even more irritating that the offenders always happen to be listening to shitty music. Which begs the question – Shitty Music=Shitty Attitude?

  5. I’ve also seen bus drivers telling people using headphones to turn their music down. Bottom line, if the driver can hear the music either with headphones on or off, it’s too fucking loud.

  6. yes, because the little things have such kick ass bass…..
the speakers are smaller than my fingernail FFS.
nothing sounds good… all tinny and mono.

I’d have asked if anyone else was annoyed… and *hopefully* when others said yeah, it’d prove the point.

hmmm, I wonder if anyone else would have spoke up….

  7. I once gave up my seat on the bus to an old women who then asked me to turn my music down
    wtf?

  8. The good news – consider becoming an audiologist because in 15 years you will be busy 24/7 fitting hearing aids for all the 30 somethings who have lost their hearing. The government won’t pick up the tab so you’ll be able to charge whatever you like.

  9. I was forced to take the bus with a serious hangover last summer (had to retrieve my car) and these 3 fat teenage gansta bitches were sitting at the back with one of their cell phones playing shitty rap music. An older lady very politely asked them if they could turn it down and one of them yelled at her “shut the fuck up you old bitch or I’ll smack ya in ya mouth!”. All the driver did was look into his rearview mirror and shrug. So, being hungover, cranky and feeling like being a dick, I moved to the back of the bus and unplugged my headphones. My cell phone is the Sony Walkman phone and has a half decent speaker that is actually pretty loud. I put on some Godsmack, turned it all the way up and pointed the speaker right at the girls. They just looked at each other not knowing what to do and just shut off their shitty rap. They grumbled back and forth but never said shit to me. I let the music play for a couple minutes and then shut it off again. The older lady thanked me and said it was nice to see some “young people” still know how to be respectful. Most assholes are totally incapable of dealing with a taste of their own medicine.

  10. As a bus driver there is nothing worse than hearing the muted dribble that comes from MP3 players that are too loud. I drive a bus for eight hours a day and at any given time can hear up to five or six different types of music at the same time, it is enough to drive me insane. I am the type of driver that BRoc referred to, if I can hear the music in my seat it is too loud. If music is too loud I will usually make a bus wide announcement requesting that all individuals using personal listening devices please turn them down to a reasonable level out of respect for other passengers. If individuals do not comply with the request I will start to pin point individuals and ask them personally to turn down the music. If that doesn’t work they will be asked to leave the bus. People have to realize that the noise pollution in the drivers seat of a bus is much worse than what the average passenger hears so if something is offensive to a passenger, it is their responsibility to bring it to the drivers attention. A driver has their attention on many details at a time and may not be aware of what is bothering a passenger unless it is brought to their attention.

  11. I’ve also witnessed bus drivers asking passengers to turn their music down. Usually the person being asked has no problem with it.

And Dino I’m enjoying your posts even more often lately.

  12. Well done NW. LOL I think your becoming my fav. It was very nice of you to stick up for an older lady against some mouthy broads. I think this behavour has to do with the rights being taken from parents and teachers and given to the kids.
