How fucking stupid are these idiots running this municipality. They set up a new by-law for animals called A-300 and I don’t think anyone read it. This new law charges a $50 license fee for a dog that’s not fixed and $15 for a dog that is fixed. I agree partially. Their logic is that “reduced licensing fees encourage owners to spay/neuter their dogs”. On the same website, they reiterate that dogs should be fixed “at 6 to 7 months”. So in other words, to encourage pet population control, the 4 month old puppy I rescued will cost me an additional $35 because he somehow poses a threat to the pet population?? What a fucking bunch of boneheads! That’s $35 I could have used at the fucking vet…you out-of-touch, cash-grabbing morons! Here’s an idea, have a special $15 puppy license that expires in 6 months if not fixed in that time.

Can you just not register your puppy for 6 months? I don’t think anyone enforces by-laws anyway, but you might want to check with the squeegee kids on that.
