As much as I appreciate your need to reaffirm your manhood by acting like a thug and pushing people around I just want you to know that my camera was not turned off when you screamed I “better not” record you. It was in a public place on a public street and fyi I have every right in the world to do just that.
It’s scary to know there are police officers in this city like you. What were you afraid of? What were you doing? What are you hiding? WTF did you think your little rant meant to the people who heard if not that?
Next time you try to tell me what my rights in this country are you can count on a YouTube video expose’ of a jackass at work. You made a complete ass out of yourself and you were an embarrassment to the police officers around you who btw looked it. You’re a punk and you shouldn’t have that badge because you obviously can’t handle it. —VJ at work

Someone please tell me WHY halifax won’t go RCMP?
PK that is the last thing we need. They are not a magical group and if you ask people who live in places where they went from municipal to mounties, most are sorry they did so.
OB if this did happen and you have it on tape then put in a complaint.
You know why mounties have a yellow stripe down their legs? If it was on their back it would be a little too obvious.
I used to live in Dartmouth and I never had a problem with any RCMP. I don’t get all these people that hate on police officers…I’ve never had an issue with one. When I moved to Halifax I had to go the HRP because someone was harrassing me and the woman officer really seemed like she cared and made me feel a lot better. But the woman I talked to at the call centre for the non-emergency police is a different story … I don’t understand what her problem was! She had the worst attitude and got the feeling she was bothered by me calling her and she was somewhat making fun of me ….and kept saying “I don’t understand why you’re so upset…this doesn’t seem like a big deal to me if you haven’t talked to this person in years” Really? Just because I haven’t talked to someone in 4 years and now they’re starting to harrass me again, it’s not a big deal? And the fact that a lot of his friends are pedophiles and rapists wasn’t a big deal to her either. And that he once came to my house really drunk and started screaming outside of it? Frig I hope she got fired. The officer that came to help me though was awesome :)!!
OP – “It was in a public place on a public street and fyi I have every right in the world to do just that” is absolutely correct. Post the video already.
Melectric – The call takers are just that – call takers. They’re not police, and a few of them are lacking when it comes to interpersonal skills.

there is a good indication of where our rights and freedoms lie, and where they end. If you were in anyway obstructing justice, or pestering the police officer by filming them, or disobeying a direct order to vacate and didnt then you OB fucked up and deserved it. Its amazing that people fight police officers when they are told to do something. Here is the process whereby you, as a citizen are required to follow. If you are told by an officer to stop doing something, then it is a lawful order. If you dont agree with said lawful order you lodge a complaint with the Canadian Human Rights organization(s). You allow the process to take its due course and then if it is determined that you have broken no laws and indeed your rights have been infringed on, then you are awarded a decision. The moment you act like a dick and disobey, you are obstructing justice and likely will make a much bigger headache for yourself. Stop pushing the “its my right to do whatever the fuck i want because i believe its my right when it REALLY isnt” bullshit. its old, its tired, and needs to be put to bed. Save yourselves the hassle, and just do what a peace officer tells you to do for the moment.
Cops are human too, although sometimes you’d never guess it, but they have good days & bad days, just like the rest of us.
Cut them a little slack at least most police officers are using their mental illness to try & do good. After all if they weren’t security officers. We the tax payers would be on the hook for the help they require for their control issues being unfulfilled daily !
BT: not like RCMP could fuck things up any more than what’s already fucked up *shrug*
Report it to the police all you want, fact is cops stick together.
They are also exempt from the same judicial processes as the rest of us when they fuck up. Toronto Star is doing an interesting expose’ on the subject. One of several of the cases reported:

i have been following that story oceansis. the grandmother that was run down was the worst of the horror stories
That poor grandmother would still be alive if the cop had not been speeding his way to make an appointment at court. Why didn’t the cop ensure he had sufficient time to drive to the court appointment at the normal speed limit?
To serve and protect. But who are they serving and protecting?
