It seems like alot of servers- especially the ones in the hipper, more upscale establishments, have some variation of this attitude!
the staff at the bar that I think you’re referencing – like every bar – have to stay super late after everyone leaves and clean up broken bottles and drunk detritus, etc. in certain situations i can see how the staff might take away your beer – it’s happened to me many times when i was the last person in the bar and was super drunk and probably obnoxious. what exactly did he say to you? were you one of the last people in the bar? were you being snotty too? there’s two sides to everything.
Well, that’s just part of the job description, isn’t it, dr cranky? 😛
