You don’t control the laundry room. When renting your apartment you rented one next door to the laundry room. Therefore, the washers and dryers do make some noise, live with it.
You are a jerk for stopping washers and dryers. You have been known to throw clothes out the window.
You get angry when someone moves your clothes to use a washer and/or dryer. Even though your clothes have been left in the machine for days (long enough to get the moldy smell).
You think it is appropriate to scream at someone and make threats to them because they are using the machine at 10pm on a Friday night. And tell them that “they better not do it again”. Excuse me, who do you think you are?
You are psycho. Most normal people would perhaps talk instead of yelling. Damn right I was going to tell the super and also call the cops on your ass. That way if anything happens to me or my belongings it is on record as you making the threats.
I am so glad you seem to be moving. The further away you get the better. You are a psycho and I pity your poor child that they are brought up in that household.

Wow, that is slightly over the top psycho. Good times.
Most normal people would perhaps have something better than laundry to do at 10PM on a Friday night.
Oh, and I love how people transpose one thing onto other things that have NOTHING to do with anything… how does yelling at your pathetic ass about making noise on a Friday night translate into feeling sorry for the kids in that home? Feeling a little dramatic? Get a grip, OP.
Some people are too busy to do their laundry at any other time than 10pm on a Friday night. Just because “normal” people have regular jobs and go out on a Friday night doesn’t mean EVERYONE does it.
abc123, “normal” was defined by the OP, not me. Chances are, the OP was breaking house rules over use of the laundry.
Kay you must run in such a glamorous circle of people. No one ever doing the occassional Friday night load of laundry….wow!!!
I would be pissed if I lived next to a laundry room and people were doing laundry past the hours designated by the building manager. It doesn’t say if that’s the case here.
You chose to live in a apartment building where washers and dryers are shared. You will have thieves, arseholes, idiots and shrieking cunts to deal with. Either suck it up or build a lean-to in the parking lot.
This sounds like the old lady who does laundry for cash on my floor… she’ll take up each washer and dryer from about 7 am till 3 or 4 pm and will take your stuff out if your not right on top of it. Oh well, such is life of a renter.
I’m with Scooby. I envy the luxurious, normal life that Kay leads. Does being normal come with a prerequisite of being an asshole?
WTF? Heathro, did you just call me an asshole? What for? I’m not the one keeping you and your kids awake.
Oh wow, according to kay I’m not normal. I usually do my laundry around midnight!
Holy fuck. What’s wrong with you people? I didn’t define “normal” here, the OP did. You bitches are a bunch of cattle. Get an independent thought, would ya? Holy fuck
Actually I do control the laundry room.
It was under section VII of my rental lease, sub para III, which reads:
The tenant shall take full control of the laundry room and the contents therein. The tenant assumes all responsibility for laundry in the machines past the stated hours of operation.
See, you don’t have to be fluent in legalese to see that I clearly run the laundry show. So if I want to toss your wet laundry onto the floor then I retain my right to do so.
Habeus Corpus, bitch.
Word to the wise: don’t, for christ’s sake, choose to do laundry at midnight. Unless you sleepwalk. I met a woman who did this one time, fell ASLEEP during the whole incident, and for some crazy reason her dryer overheated and exploded her entire basement. Not tasty.
My best investment was an apartment sized kenmore washer & dryer set from Kijiji. $200 for a like new pair, even though they are actually a decade old. The dryer works on 120v so no special wiring needed.
^ I also did the same. 200 dollars off kijiji… such a good buy. It also doubles nicely as a shelf for my microwave.
Jesus christ, I love doing laundry and typically a plan-less friday MAY include a few loads of the fluff and fold.
This dude’s a psycho. Stay with your laundry and make sure you bring a big stick “just in case” next time.
Going to the super was a good call too.
Holy shit, Dino.
Sometimes I throw a load into the dryer before going to bed…won’t be doing that any time soon :|
yeah, shut up, kay!z
I fucking love you kay.
So glad I live in a house with my very own washer and dryer!
You guys DO realise there are apartments out there that have their own in-unit washer and dryer, right?
My last two units have had 5 appliances including a w/d…it’s pretty damn nice, I have to say, being able to do my laundry whenever, and it’s nice to be able to do ALL my laundry in one shot because seeing as the w/d is in my unit I can do laundry naked and make sure everything is clean and the hampers are totally empty 😛
Sexy Laundry Time with Pretty Kitty…
Good TV.
I don’t agree with the dudes way of dealing with it but I think the OP isn’t realizing one important fact…according to OP there is a kid in the crazy guys apartment…bedtime doesn’t change on Friday.
Any apartment I have lived in had the same laundry rules…no laundry room use after 10pm. I do think that the guy was setting a pretty horrible example to his child but you may just have been “the last straw” for that guy.
You were being inconsiderate OP, sure the dude totally lost it when a simple “Can you do that tomorrow?” would have sufficed but you still were obnoxious enough to type “I pity your poor child that they are brought up in that household.” all the while not considering the fact that you may just have woken up that very child…loud “thumps in the night” coming through a wall of a kids bedroom sometimes terrifies the little ones…
Buahahaha Dino…too funny! But yes…most likely very “Good TV” evil grin
The OP didn’t indicate that there were any laundry room use times so I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt. I don’t think it’s appropriate to scream at someone and make threats just because someone’s making noise; it’s not even uncalled for noise like yelling in the hallway, laundry just happens to make noise! There are more civilized ways to deal with that stuff. However, if the laundry room closes at 10, then the OP is a douche. Simple as that.
