I found out today that the little girl that was missing in Bridgewater is now dead. Pray for her and her families! While here in the bitch section we make a big deal of farting in public a little girl has lost her life! There are more important things in life than what we bitch about. She is now an angel on her way to heaven. My heart, my tears go to her , her family and the people of Bridgewater! My God bless you all.

  1. An important reminder Ginger, well received. I heard it is suspected homicide too, as if this story wasn’t tragic enough.

  2. Extremely sad and tragic. My heart goes to the family – this is a pain that can never heal, the loss of a child. Any of us with children are hugging them a little closer tonight. I’m trying to understand what the police mean by an ‘isolated incident’. There are apparently no suspects. Shouldn’t the public be warned if there is a murderer lurking around?

  3. It’s a murder investigation… “isolated incident” means they probably know who did it and that the killer is close to the family… if not part of… Sad!!! My guess is that police suspect who did it!

  4. I truly cannot understand how a person can walk around with something like this on their hands. I think the worst part for the mom, is that she was fighting with her at the time. What a blow. I can’t fathom how she must feel. I won’t get started on the child porn issue, suffice it to say they would never see the light of day again

  5. Raoul, if you want to be a backseat CSI’er please do it over on the Chronicle Herald’s web page. I cringe to think that any of those Peanut Gallery posters from the now defunct Daily News make it over to this tidy little forum, I doubt they will but just the same, lets keep it about bitching and let the people who know the job, do it.”Isolated Incident” means that with the evidence they have, they can tell you to sleep easy, without showing their hand.

  6. I’ve heard it was her Mom and boyfriend who were picked up last night for questioning. I can’t confirm that as I didn’t quite hear the whole story but if it’s true …… WTF …. I can’t find the words right now.

  7. If you’re right, Raoul, this makes me absolutely sick to my stomach. Any parent (or step-parent) who would do this to a child is beyond comprehension.

  8. My sentiments exactly Raoul and TTFN. We have some really sick people in our society. Two things that really disgust me are child abuse / sex exploitation and cruelty to animals. Both are completely defenseless and are at the mercy and total dependance of their providers for food, comfort, love, shelter, safety… How a human being can take advantage of that is beyond me, especially a parent!!!

  9. Personally, I would like to see every person who downloads child porn or who sexually abuses children not only castrated but branded with a huge ‘P’ on their forehead. As for people who are cruel to animals, you can be sure human beings are also in danger from such sick bastards.

  10. TTFN i totally agree with you on this one, my grandfather once suggested put them on an island together, what weird and sick people in todays world, what a shame an innocent life lost

  11. Hey Cranky what’s your beef? My original comment was pretty straight forward AND factual. The RCMP have confirmed the Mom and BF are “persons of interest”. Personally, I find that just a little disturbing. Go watch some TV or something.

  12. I’m positive I heard on 95.7 yesterday that the Mom and BF were person’s of interest. After reading the news this morning it seems the media is backing away from that … or perhaps 95.7 had it wrong. Either way I am 100% positive that’s what was reported. Regardless, RCMP surrounded the apt and have executed a search warrant. RCMP have also taken the Mom’s car to be searched. I don’t watch CSI 🙂 but is this normal treatment for a parent who just lost their child???? I wouldn’t want to speculate as one of our loyal posters might call shennanigans but where there is smoke…. there’s usually fire. It’s a tragic story and we all have our opinion.

  13. My ‘beef’ is that over at the Chronicle Herald (and moreso at the Daily News) there were about 100 posts, mostly just bingo bags and whatnot weighing in on all of their ‘ideas’ of who did what when and why. I realize you were repeating actual facts, I just didn’t want to see THIS forum look like those shitholes. Thats my beef. I don’t think I am alone in the belief that discussing this online in this forum is inappropriate. Take it over to facebook, I’m sure you’ll find lots of likeminded people there.

  14. Jesus, this post sounds like like it is some kind of post 9/11 speech from Gulianni – puke!! Keep your “prayers” to yourself!

  15. Not that it isn’t a horrible tragedy, because it is. But prayers and angels, heaven and “god’s blessings” aren’t going to do anything

  16. “likeminded” …. WTF …. you don’t even know me. Check yourself dude. It’s an open forum, we all have opinions. There is a difference between an opinion/comment and a conspiracy theory. I totally agree this isn’t a place to discuss the conspiracies and, to date, there aren’t any posted here. If it’s that big of an issue contact The Coast and ask to have it removed. Outside of that I’ll post where I like and post on the issues that interest me. Nobody has to agree with me but that’s the beauty of an open forum … it prompts discussion (hopefully). There are some truly heartless comments on here, that’s too bad.

  17. To all those who question prayers and God’s blessings, I suggest they bring together people in comfort and condolence. It is powerful to know someone else out there is thinking of you – praying for you. Plus the act of praying causes us to think and reflect on something other than ourselves for a change. Even giving us a sense of community knowing so many of us are united (in prayer/good wishes/caring vibes, etc) for another member of our community. Regardless of what religion (or lack there of) you are, I think taking a moment to offers prayers and blessings is a beautiful thing to do.

  18. Mike 1979 you seem you don’t believe in God and that is your business, not mine but respectfully don’t use Jesus as a curse word for your lack of words!! There is nothing wrong in expressing how you feel about the tradgedy in any forum, she was an innocent little girl whose life was struck early in life!! And hey any forum unless guidlines is ok to express those feelings! Freedom of speech don’t ya know .

  19. There is no god, there are no angels, there is no heaven, prayer does absolutely nothing. There, had to get all that out first. That being said, the comment on the power of thought is quite true. I read in a book once that asked you how you would feel if you knew that somebody was thinking about you in a kind way. It would most likely make you happy and make you feel comforted. And yes, if you knew a large group of people were thinking about you, the effect would be exponential. So, getting the community together does help the family … just leave the “prayers” out of it because it’s just a waste of time.Heaven is a made up place that people invented because they were scared of dying. This girl only lives now in people’s memories. Tragic, yes … but true. I am not trying to be cold here, I feel really bad for the family and for the community. I just can’t stand it when in the face of tragedy, people try to push religion as the answer. My grandfather recently passed away and the preacher/priest, after talking about my grandfather’s life, spent a great deal of time trying to convince everyone to join up so that we can see grandpa again. Made me pretty sick to hear that.Anyway, this is too deep for a Sunday morning. I’m going to go make a fruit salad now.

  20. Oh, and using “Jesus” as an expression of surprise, disgust, or whatever emotion you want is common enough now that it isn’t meant to be an insult to the christian religion. It’s just a word.

  21. Jimmy thanks for your imput but if you don’t believe in God or heaven how can you use Jesus as an expression, it is a name of a Christian God isn’t it? why not use Fuck instead?! just curious and hey the little girl who died was Christian…so yes i will offer prayers for her and hope the angels enter her into heaven, for all you non God believers do your thing but as for a Christian offering prayers for a Christian no problem!!

  22. Didn’t this site start as an homage to a young girl brutaly taken from this world too soon?If you took issue with someone taking a moment from a mindless bitch to say something truly sincere, why not just skip over this and rant away elsewhere? Now that this post has chosen to go down this thorny path, I ask – to Jimmy who took them time to post his beliefs – Did you post your message because you want to CONVERT others to your way of thinking? Do you want others to TRUST and have FAITH that you say is true? Perhaps you and your written messages might provide leadership for others to FOLLOW you? Your strong beliefs are clearly grounded in something, perhaps your experiences, things you’ve read, others have told you, your own conclusions….Would you want others to disrespect your dearly held beliefs? So I ask, Why are people so quick to rudely dismiss my dearly held beliefs that are formed from generations of family, friends, things I read, seen, experienced, words that generations before me have “posted”? Perhaps we can all pull from the positives of our various belief systems and say a positive, caring mesage here and elsewhere in our lives instead of returning to a “your beliefs suck” mentality.

  23. Calling a lack of belief in any particular religion a “faith” among itself is like calling “bald” a hair colour. And there is no need for people to have FAITH in what I said … there is plenty of scientific evidence that refutes most areas of religion. It doesn’t require FAITH, it requires the ability to understand science. Do you disrespect science? If so, then you should stop taking all medications, you should stop using the internet, etc. These are all products of scientific minds. And yes, dearly held beliefs are often a products of generations and generations of things you have read, seen, experienced, words, etc. It doesn’t make them correct.I didn’t say your beliefs “suck”. I merely indicated that there is absolutely no scientific proof that prayer works … and it has been proven statistically that prayer does nothing (in the same way that astrology does not work). This is a good website on prayer:http://www.whywontgodhealamputees.com/That being said. I agree with you that maybe this was not the forum for me to blast the religious belief system. I do apologize. But it’s hard to listen to people talk about prayer, angels, astrology, ghosts, god(s), etc. without thinking that we don’t live in caves anymore and that we, as a species, should be beyond believing in things of which there is absolutely no proof. And I said I felt sorry for the girl and her family. And I truly mean that. As someone who doesn’t believe in “the power of prayer”, how would you honestly suggest I help (don’t say “by not posting comments here”). Seriously though, there is an incredibly large growing population of people that have no religious beliefs whatsoever. We all want to help the community come together and to help the family. What would you suggest we do?

  24. Jimmy, I dont believe in God either, but people find solace where they find solace. Respect the fact that most people here are merely expressing their sadness and support for this poor girl, whatever way they find best; be that if it’s through god or science. One thing that I think is wrong is when people, religious or non, try and tell others how it is in the way of what to believe. Sure, I may not believe in God either, and like you, I feel I have the proof he doesnt exist, but I realize that despite what science tells me, it may not be the whole picture. So many religious people dont seem to have the ability to accept the fact they could be wrong, and it’s so arrogant. We shouldnt be the same way, we dont know enough about the universe for there not to be atleast a slim chance we could be wrong.
