Every single class, three times a week, you loudly plop down behind me, and will continually “accidentally” kick the back of my seat. fyi, I went through all of my schooling without having taken a ‘history’ course.
social studies was about the closest I came… and hated that all the same.

History has its place in the modern world….
We Keep making the same stupid mistakes because we forget where we come from.
On a completely serious note, zZz, a degree in history itself isn’t going to get you a job, but the skills you learn (research, analytical, etc…) are invaluable if you go on and do further study (for example, law).
No BA is going to really get anyone a direct job right away. What a BA (especially in humanities such as history — I’ve taken courses in pretty much every arts subject, and I have to say history was the most well rounded skills-wise) will get you is a great foundation for further study. I knew that going into the BA program, and I knew that when I graduated with my history degree. I also attribute that to the success I’ve had in further study since. I wouldn’t not do my BA over again.
