What a wonderful day for taking my week old son and my wife for a walk in Point Pleasant Park. No jacket needed, leave the toque and purse in the car. Who would have thought at 11am on a Sunday someone would help themselves to our vehicle.

Fast forward two hours with a crying newborn and no way to get into or house because we realize the theft upon returning home.

What is wrong with you? You better hope you don’t pull this shit next weekend or the weekend after. I’ll be there.

Enjoy the $50 Edna gift card too. Breakfast is on me. —Park Patrol

  1. Sorry, while I empathize with you, you’re an idiot. It’s advertised everywhere to not leave valuables in your car, ever, ever, ever. Did you think it was okay because it’s almost Christmas, or did you think all the ugly rich mansions bordering the park prevents “bad people” from coming close?

  2. If you left anything of value in your car, no matter where or when in Halifax, you’re just begging to be robbed. You need to take the blame for your own stupidity.

  3. “…because we realized the theft upon returning home.”
You mean you didn’t notice the shattered glass inside the car, or the noise of the wind through the broken window? For without a broken window, how did the thief gain access to your locked car?

  4. Thieves don’t have hours or days of operation.
My car is in my space, locked, and there’s still nothing in it.

This is xmastime, robberies and stealing rise.

  5. Sadly, crime is a 24/7/365 equal opportunity employer. Especially for those who are willing to take advantage of any opportunity that presents itself. Live your life as if someone was about to reach into your pocket at anytime.

  6. Once upon a time we tried teaching people “Don’t Rob” I guess it’s easier and slightly more effective to teach people how to not get robbed.
    Next.

  7. This has to be a fabricated bitch. Who in their right mind would post something that makes them look so stupid because of doing something stupid in the first place?

If this is for real, then all I have to say is that you’re stupid. When you go to church leave all your valuables in the car because God is looking out for them. Yeah. That sounds sensible.

  8. Good point, Mr. Campana. I also wonder how someone could purposely admit to being an idiotstick and not realize it.

  9. How did you not notice your car got broken into until you were home? Did you leave the doors unlocked?
