I hate going to south end halifax burger joints, having to politely send back a pink burger, only to go again and experience a pinker scarlet burger when you’re just too damn hungry and fundless in the first place! turn up the gd grill

  1. I’d like to know where this is so I can avoid it. Please post a review in the restaurant reviews section.

  2. Actually, I’d like to know where it is so I can GO – nobody seems to know how to cook a burger other than “burned at the stake well-done”.

  3. report it to the health department – its called poison fuck sake grow balls and bitch to the asshat cook or dishwasher or whoevers making the shit in the first place ( i tend to think its the dishwasher ) that fuckin shit can kill you !!!

  4. The only way to guarentee that your burger is safe is to cook it to the correct temperature (I belive this is 71degrees C). Sometimes, your burger will still be pink at that temperature and sometimes a non-pink burger is not yet at that temperature.

Don’t worry so much. I’m with gidget, everywhere in town (with a couple of exceptions) cooks their burgers until they are dried out and ruined.

  5. Fuck the restaurant reviews section… post this at the Better Business Bureau or at the local food inspection agency.

  6. What is it with people that like eating shoe leather. Steak should be cooked no more than 5 seconds on either side.

  7. kay— the BBB can only fix something unless the business that the complaint is being made against is a member. The BBB is a complete joke to any normal business. The food inspection agency will only make another investigation, as they’ll come into look at the premises and see if the food is being prepared properly, if it is, there’s no issue.

I’m with jennier and gidget on this one. You can actually cook hamburger at 66 C for a minute and it’s safe, which is the best way you can actually cook a burger. 71 C is for instant “pasteurization”. There’s a serious misconception of a little bit of pink in meat equals poison. You’d never survive a barbecue at my place…

  8. Not as much as you think with the advent of cameras in many places, especially national chains. They do it for two reasons. One to make sure employess don’t do that shit and two, if someone tries to scam the place with a false allegation.
