i can guaruntee yout he bus didnt come 15 minutes early. maybe it was the previous bus that was 15 minutes late, but the bus’s have stops that they wait at every few stops to stay on-time. Places like terminals (ie. HSC, lacewood, Bridge, etc) and then other stops like the village, etc. They have point stops where they stay to keep with the time. Theres no way any bus in HRM was 15 minutes early. I think you may be exageratting to make yourself feel better because it was maybe 4 minutes early, that or you seen the previous bus go by late.(no offence, but im serious, i take the bus 4 times a day, unfortunately. i know the transit system like the back of my hand, and yes, it is shitty.)
As for a boycott of Metro Transit, I’m all over that. Metro Transit sucks out loud and needs to be reminded who it works for. Drivers, administrators, and politicians all act like public transit is some kind of welfare for people who can’t afford cars, and we should be grateful that we have it at all. Unfortunately, the only alternative to riding the bus is to walk or bike. Because let’s face it; if you had a car, you’d be driving it. And I don’t forsee the whole city getting off its collective ass and getting around under its own steam.
Bussed off, If you got up at 5am and had to rush, rush, rush, maybe you should have gotten up a little earlier. As well, if you are going to leave little bags of shit on the bus, let me know which bus you take so I don’t encounter you or your feces.
See now that’s funny…I used to live on Willett where the 17 and the 18 would come by every 15 minutes (between the two of them) and there were mornings that I would stand out there for 45 minutes and see neither of them, when really, I should have seen at least 2. Lacewood terminal was only a two minute walk down the street and somehow they still managed to never show up. That being said, I do find it hard to believe that a bus would drive by 15 minutes early…but who knows, certain buses do seem to run on their own schedules.
